Didn't happen to me either, but someone pointed it out earlier in this thread.Disguises said:Hmm...that's weird. I haven't run into that problem. All of mine are .mpos without .jpg. When in 2D mode, the system just uses the right image from the .mpo as far as I know. :/

Thanks. I usually split the crosseye JPG in two and only use the left halfcakefoo said:I'll include that from now on. Does the crosseye JPEG work as an alternate?

I'm getting "access denied" errors. Too bad, I wanted to check the T-rex :(
Ahah, yes photos were taken from inside my house and from a typical italian countryside.Jocchan said:I see a bottle of acqua Guizza![]()
Ahh! I thought I could save copy/paste time by cutting the end off the image URL to get the link to the page, but now I see there's a subdomain difference. Links in that post should be fixed now.Jocchan said:I'm getting "access denied" errors. Too bad, I wanted to check the T-rex![]()
You have to crop it into left and right images that match up well, but it can be done. Those 1906 ones don't have much stereo separation, though. Not very impressive to view on 3DS.Tunavi said:I don't have a 3DS nor do I know how it works, but is it possible to view this picture of the 1906 SF earthquake on the 3DS?[/IMG]

Those are amazing, cakefoo. The shot of the man working the clay vase is definitely the standout for me. Inspiring me to go out and take some more 3D photos.
EatChildren said:Good lord at those RE4 and Wind Waker screens. Goddamn what I would give for a 3DS game looking that clean in 3D.
Personally, I can't wait 'till Revelations and Mercenaries. Will have the 3D cranked up to the max.EatChildren said:Good lord at those RE4 and Wind Waker screens. Goddamn what I would give for a 3DS game looking that clean in 3D.
This argument again?Reallink said:If Nintendo had actually sold you $200-$250 worth of hardware for $250, we'd be at that and then some--but, we got about $100 worth of goods.
Right on. People and moving things make the most interesting 3D, but you need two cameras for it. It's worth it though. Even if they're cheap point and shoots, they'll do just fine.BlueTsunami said:Those are amazing, cakefoo. The shot of the man working the clay vase is definitely the standout for me. I was a parallel viewer anyway, but I do like the new icons for the viewing methods.KevinCow said:This 3Dporch site now supports cross-eyed viewing and is therefore awesome now.

nli10 said:Exactly. 2x1MP would have probably been enough but I forget what resolution the actual screen is and instead of 3,000 built in pictures we'd have got 1,000 and possibly required more processing power.
I honestly think that the photography part of the 3DS is what will get upgraded in the next block (18 months to 2 years) but it depends on the demand for 3D picture sharing. If you got a free Nintendo service like Flipnote to upload your pictures too online viewable and addable to by a 3DS+ on WiFi I might actually be tempted.

The theory is known and available since 1832, and still a lot of filmmakers use depth of field and motion blur in their 3d movies, and in that way destroy the illusion of depth or make it really difficult for the brain to keep up..."

why is it so hard for directors to understand basics when people on neogaf understand how 3d works!!!
My god.. the detail in this 3d pic is simply unnerving. I could stare at this all day.cakefoo said:

boris feinbrand said:So you want them to unlearn their handywork for an effect that a lot of people don't even care for? I'd expect them to embrace 3D specific techniques of filming by the time 3D becomes the only standard to shoot films with.
I agree about the problem, but I simply can't see them doing something about it.
Well it surely depends on the directors willingness to experiment and adapt. Budget has nothing to do with talent. I suspect that even a lot of directors see 3D as a fad and merely put it in because of studio requirements.caligula13 said:i understand that unlearning can be hard but if you shoot a film in 3d why do it with 2d aesthetics?
and it seems not to be the hardest thing when even wim wenders and Takashi Shimizu did it right with minimal budget.

Has anyone got any tips on improving loading times with the 3DS camera? I've loaded a ton of 3D pictures from Wii/GCN games (yep that source that was posted earlier) and now it seems to take an eternity to load (I've probably got about 500 pictures on there)
I don't want to delete them but the loading times are really bad now.
Also, has anyone managed to organise pictures by folder on the device? It doesn't seem to display the folder itself, but only organises them by the time they were taken.
