1. the jerk
2. robbin hood men in tights
3. blazing saddles
4. stir crazy
5. see no evil, hear no evil

I love Richard Pryor. He's my favorite comedian (and maybe person) of all time but I'm stunned you would pick that one instead of nearly anything else he has ever done. I mean some of his concert films would make my top ten and I love Stir Crazy and even Jo Jo Dancer. Interesting/odd pick to me ;)

Hey, Stoney, how could you leave one of the best out? :(

Which one? Young Frankenstein?

I actually had it listed at first and then though of another and erased it to move it down on the list and then forgot to put it back.

No, not Young Frankenstein :(

cause it's one of the richard + Gene Wilder movies along with blazing saddles and stir cazy. as much as i love young frankenstein and richards work i had to pick the ones where they are both together.

Oh I get it now. ;)

Well I like Office Space but to be honest that one would be quite a bit down on the list. Same with Idiocracy although I like both still.

While Idiocracy can be entertaining it gets stuck in itself after a while with one ""lol, stupid" joke after another. Office Space, on the other hand, I find a refreshing, entertaining and warming comedy about the modern society and being bored.

that young frankenstein footage made me very sad that gene wilder is dead :(

edit: or is he? wow, i thought he'd passed on. yikes

I can see it. Hollywood Shuffle is like the black version of that to me in some ways so I think in both cases it's a little bit of personal experience being the filter through a film.

You guys are going to hate me but I really think that 40 Year Old Virgin will be in this list eventually. I keep rewatching it and I think it's getting better every time. Only movie in the past ten years that I think deserves a mention here. I know some will say Little Miss Sunshine, and I'll retort with Weather Man... but still.

the weather man is one of the weirdest comedies i've ever seen. a lot of people hate it, but that movie has its moments--cameltoe, omg.

I don't necessarily disagree (on the 40yo virgin part). Although for me Little Miss Sunshine doesn't belong there. It's a cute little flick but I thought it was a touch overrated.

I find the very early Farrelly brother films like Dumber and Dumber and maybe Something about Mary to still be suprisingly funny although I have a real appreciation for low brow humour done well.
