We will most likely know by the end of the month once cross-gen reviews start coming out.
Im not sure but i meant video game reviewers in general do this.
Cboat is a MS insider. He wouldn't know anything about Sony. He even got it wrong when he said the PS4 will be launching this October.

OK, what the hell happened?
Part of it is fun but I would love to get back to a less stressful conversation on forums without it automatically being another shot fire in the console wars. There will always be arguments about the different consoles and I'm sure the next few years will provide plenty of them, but it won't nearly be as bad as it is now all over the internet and GAF is one of the few places where I can at least expect more logical discussions since nonsense doesn't last here.
I do love the hype of new consoles though. There's something about it that makes it all feel like I'm a kid waiting until Christmas morning which makes me feel quite the nerdy individual at my age, but it's true.

Yeah, but he said that the reason that they can't show/talk about Xbox One games is a lot more stupid than platform differences. He never said what that reason was.

Probably. Most tweets I see from him either praise Sony or degrade Microsoft, specifically the Xbox One. I understand he and Blow got shafted by Microsoft, but still. Enough is enough.
Can people just never talk about Gies again? I feel like even in the off chance he is remotely right about anything in his life, mentioning his name is like some ancient forbidden curse, an evil totem hanging over any thread upon which it is uttered. Nothing good can ever come once it is whispered into the darkness of neoGAF Dark theme.

No... but Brian hates Microsoft. He, like a few other indies, think that Microsoft treated them like shit and that valve/sony/nintendo are nicer. His tweets are typically anti-microsoft. I wouldn't read anything into it... and I don't know that microsoft owes anyone an apology other than their shareholders for being so dumb when it comes to indies.
He wasn't given a release window for his game on XBLA for months after it was ready, when they finally did it was like the worst release date possible (first week of the year or something).

I've been saying this as well but I think we're in the minority. All people do is give them the attention he craves and keep him going instead of ignoring him and stop giving credence to everything he says. I don't dislike many people in this industry, but anyone like him instantly gets on that list for the disrespect and sheer arrogance even over his most outlandish claims.
It'd be one thing if his comments were humorous in nature, but they're more annoying than anything else. I'm not saying he never has anything useful or important to say, but most of the time, it's just bait or nonsense that doesn't warrant attention.

No indies until 2014. I don't understand what MS was thinking. I don't even know what to say really. Doesn't anyone else find it just baffling that there are 0 indies at launch for the XB1?
If that were the case, he wouldn't refer to indies on XBLA. There must be some policy change that affects that group. Obviously Brian's reaction would be more negative than others, but I'm curious to know what it is.

It's a terrible move, but it makes sense seeing as how ID@Xbox is in its infancy.
What baffles me is that Minecraft will be on PS4 day one, but not on XB1 until next year.

I don't really want to continue carrying this tangent, but it's hard not to look at MS and think of how much indies are an after thought for them.
Sony is taking major strides in South America in helping indie devs get games on playstation platforms. As far as I know, MS doesn't have anything equivalent. Heck, their North American Indie Program for X1 just started.

I think the earlier tweet I posted by kevin dent likely was the review embargo or something similar
