gawd no. I like Sessler's opinions but his super hyper voice would drive me nuts for the video reviews.

Not trying to start a rumor here... but I wonder if he's doing this for business. The only content company really based in DC is SBNation (Polygon)... I wonder....

I wouldn't be surprised if he's currently talking to multiple companies weighing offers and options.
 
X-PLAY today is the first day back without Adam. They have been rerunning the show for the past 2 weeks. Will be interesting.

It's probably just going to be Blair and Morgan. I'm curious however to see if they address what happened at all or just ignore it completely. Betting on the latter.

After how he left, I doubt it. They probably will at least say he went on to other things and good luck. He might not even get that.

Probably acknowledge that someone is the new main co-host, but never mention Adam or what happened to cause the promotion.
 
Never seen or heard this Adam Sessler guy before, but why is he always yelling? Saw him on the Bonus Round, Up at Noon and heard him on the Bombcast. He's always yelling. He's worse than Greg Miller.

Comcast has been trying to sell the channel for almost a year now. The latest talk is comcast/nbc has stopped trying to sell it and with E!'s rebranding happening in July, G4TV will get rebranded as an E! channel. G4s lineup of original content isn't suppose to change, but instead of Cops reruns, it would play reruns of E!'s older programs and some reality shows.

It really is one of the most ridiculous examples of acquiring a channel, isn't it? They consume TechTV, only to systematically destroy everything that was kept over, seemingly to the point it just becomes an E! channel.
 
Even though I had some problems with X-play and AOTS at least they had video game news and info. Guess Microsoft's quarter of a billion monies ran out and they see no need to invest in the channel again, that's probably the only reason they lasted as long as they did anyway.

Oh yeah there still is Spike TV at least that is good right?

I mostly just want to watch E3 conferences without having to boot up my laptop.
 
Hah, not even a mention of Adam on the new episode. He's just magically gone after over a decade of hosting the show. I get that it was a contract thing, but way to stay classy, G4...

I noticed that, too. Seemed pretty shitty. I can understand avoiding it for the sake of avoiding awkwardness, but they didn't even announce Blair Herter as the new co-host (which he is). I guess they'll just evade the issue until the channel's imminent demise.
 
At least Morgan was wearing black in mourning (and looking mighty fine in that episode), but I digress. Not sure how long I can tolerate the show now with Blair as the replacement, gonna be alot of hitting the 30-second skip...

I could do that job a thousand times better than he does, as could probably many in this forum or many of the online youtube videogame personalities. Every time i seen that guy he was being mildly hysterical over things that, if he had been following them closer, he would have found no reason to be acting that way. I hope all these fakes leave the gaming industry. With youtube, we dont need people like this anymore.

Sessler is about as real as it gets. Try to find the stuff he does when he's not playing a goofball for TV.
 
That's a little disappointing. It seems like he wants a clean break from video game coverage entirely.

The likelihood of you or anyone on this forum being able to host a tv show without any experience and not immediately curling up into the fetal position, much less writing and producing one for over a decade, is... low.

I'd love to see you try, of course, but being a realist is probably a better idea here.
