I just got one for like 20 mins, but it was laggy as hell. I mean I was always good FPS wise in that I was always 30 fps + even in the busy spots, and normally in the 40s or 50s with most things maxed or almost maxed out.

Yet the net lag was ridiculous. Clicking on quest givers, firing off spells, watching players move around was all lagtastic. I rerolled to play with some friends, and got to the first town then decided to call it. It was hard to play with that kind of lag.

/shrug I'm only noticing a little rubberbanding on Vaizel, but that's about it.

I dunno. It just uses Far Cry 1's engine, which I guess is kinda old by today's standards.

Maybe I'm missing something but I have a beta key that I applied at the start of July. Only got around to d/l the client now, but it says I don't have access to the game? Can't log into the forums either.

Do the seperate closed beta times, require new keys or something?

If it was a Fileplanet key, they were for only one particular beta.

Ah are they that popular? Going from forumposts on Aionsource it didn't seem like there were a lot of them around... Hrumpf, don't really fancy playing an overplayed class...

Just play it, like any and all MMO's every class will eventually be the 'overplayed class' at some point in the games life. Not rolling a class you want to play based on its population at release wouldnt be a good idea IMO.

it's kind of silly to have gameguard because it does not actually stop hackers that i can see, it just fucks with the normal user

you can find a way to remove it here - worked for me and virus scanned clean, but you may want to double check as usual

I was doing ok lag wise earlier today, but it's come out in full force now. 10+ second client freezes and a couple seconds to activate skills.

Pretty much guaranteed death as a Cleric.

Also, if you're on the same server but different faction, can you still share the warehouse?

Just curious. I haven't tested it out myself yet as I'm not really putting much time into the game this beta as I don't want to get burnt out before release.

I'm not on at the moment though. Got to lvl 20, saw I had to repeat the same thing at lvl 20 you did at lvl 10 for your Stigma stone and logged off. Contact "Saya" or "Kara" who are in the Legion for invites.

I'm on a different server than the rest of gaf (figures) and i want to make sure I'm on the same server once retail hits. If this carries over, I may reroll. I gave up after about an hour of dealing with lag. Got like two bars of exp total that whole time. Bummer. I know a lot people are experience lag as well so hopefully by OB, that will clear through.

This is the last part of the Elyos beta event showing the Kralls attacking Verteron Citadel, followed by a lvl 39 Balaur elite. The whole event was monitored by a lvl 50 GM Gladiator. There will be at least one more event, taking place tomorrow (Sunday) where both the Asmodians and the Elyos will face off against the Balaur. Where this will take place is still unknown, but our best bet is Eltnen and Morheim

Enchanting items is crazy hard in this game. I blew a huge wad of cash buying random junk, putting manastones in it, extracting, and then failing enchantment again and again. The worst thing is that a failure lowers the enchantment rank, so even if your success rate is 50% you'll still be at zero or +1 at best. :lol

I was quite underwhelmed with this game during CBT5, however this weekend really piqued my interest, mainly because I got my Cleric to 25 and experienced some group pvp. Needless to say it was so much fun I believe the government will levy a tax on it before long.

Both clients are actually exactly the same. Just make sure you set your location to Europe in the NCsoft launcher's settings.

Anyone done much crafting yet? I did the first couple of weaponsmithing quests and got the Steel Dagger recipe. The items required to make the recipe I have questions about. Are they all dropped items or are some of them sold at vendors? I've seen the little refinement orb thingies but the other couple of items I have not.

The orbs are drops i think. You have to gather the iron and the like. And the rest are probably vendor items. Dont forget that the vendors have multiple tabs as well as pages of the stuff they sell.

Ah well, picked a sorc for starters, will probably play one once it goes live anyway, would like to roll a chanter but it's probably a bad idea with the limited amount of playtime I've got and the hours I can play aren't peak hours, so I'ld just be playing solo 90% of the time with my support class...
