I was wondering, what's there to do in the open world portion?
Or is it all just fighting in the streets? Nothing else to do?

- Config files (key configurations, etc.) are now saved in the User folder.
(Ex: C:\Users\XXX\Documents\AKIBA'S TRIP)
- Enabled gameplay on Windows Vista.
These are the necessary steps to make it work:
1. Upgrade to Windows Vista SP2
2. If "MFReadWrite.dll is not found" error displays...
a. Install the Platform Update Supplement for Windows Vista (KB2117917)
https://www.microsoft.com/ja-jp/download/details.aspx?id=209 (32 bit)
https://www.microsoft.com/ja-JP/download/details.aspx?id=14539 (64 bit)

*There are numerous reports of the opening movie not playing under Windows Vista.
For now, we have disabled this movie, progressing straight into gameplay instead.
WeÂ’re still investigating the issue, and will give further updates as we learn more.
- If the DirectX version is found to be incompatible, the following message will display at startup:
"Failed to initialize Direct3D11"
- Playing windowed in 1920x1080 resolution with VSync OFF is crashing the game.
We're still working on a solution to this, and apologize for any inconvenience in the meantime.
- Players using the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 graphics card have been reporting framerate
issues. We regret to inform that this graphics card is not fully compatible with the game due to
manufacturing issues. This is not something we can fix, and we apologize for any inconvenience.
Tom, you have to explain that last one to me, because I don't understand it.
I really hope their next game is being ported to PC by some external studio then. If this is the extend of their capabilities, that would be really in their own best interest.I can't explain anything, I'm afraid -- I'm just the messenger! All I know is, Acquire was like, "yo, 970 users ain't gonna be gettin' stable framerate, dawg."
Though not in those exact words.

But seriously, manufacturing issues ?... lol
That was our best approximation of what they told us, which was basically "can't make it work on the 970s; see this link: http://arstechnica.com/gaming/2015/...action-lawsuit-over-graphics-card-ram-issues/ "
Didn't really know how to summarize that (or why that particular issue would cause problems with Akiba's Trip specifically), so I just went with "manufacturing issues" in hopes no one would really question it.
Apparently, though, you did.

Yeah the excuse is bull. Let me guess, they're using all of the available VRAM of a card regardless of the size. Get a refund on Steam and re-buy the game when it's fixed (or don't.)
Someone apparently already found a way to unlock FPS but you have to use a memory editor for now

So basically it's limited to 30 FPS for no reason at all? Why?Someone apparently already found a way to unlock FPS but you have to use a memory editor for now

Some people are reporting issues with combat controls (while others say everything is fine), but I doubt that is unfixable.

It was ok at 60, but at 120 almost every attempt to attack is trying to do a grab instead. For those button holds, it looks like it's going by the frame count instead of time. (this is using a controller)
Just gimme dat 60 FPS fix/mod so I can fully enjoy this thing dangit!
- Start the game, leave the config screen open
- Start Cheat Engine, choose process, point it at the AkibaUU.exe (not the config one)
- Change search type to byte, search for 30
- Look for the address mentioned in the link for your operating system
- Double-click that address to get it to show up on the bottom
- On the bottom, double-click the 30 and change it to 60. (don't need to freeze the value)
- Save your file in Cheat Engine so you can just load it next time
- Finish launching the game
