It's a niche title to a specific audience, that for the most part knows how dumb it is. I really don't like it so I don't buy it and say on internet forums how bad it looks. But ashamed, no not really. The medium is something I enjoy, but I never felt I belong to a "gaming" club where I feel ashamed or responsible for shitty games.
Honestly it bothers me more "legitimate" games trying to excuse shoving fanservice or people actually claiming censorship for the lack of bikini armors.

This, just because I play gta doesn't mean I want to car jack and kill grannies, though I have no intention of buying this, I'd also have no problem playing it.

You have every right to be offended by it, and they have every right to develop/release it. Not everything has to appeal to or be marketable to everyone. I'm not the OP but I don't care for those either. I don't play any games where you kill. I suppose I do play games like Zelda where enemies disappear in a puff of smoke or into thin air, but that's not the kind of violence in games I find distasteful.

At Least you can avoid this game by not buying it, mgs attempts sells itself on other qualities then rubs quiet in your face while trying to tell you she is serious at the same time. if other people enjoying it gets you riled then perhaps you have to learn to respect other people's tastes.

I don't see the big issue personally. It's a game that's being upfront about the type of game it is and the type of market it is aiming for.

I can watch movies, read books, watch television without being ashamed even though there are a lot of material I find questionable in those mediums. Why should games be any different?
I'm ashamed that despite there being similar products in literally every other medium that people like you believe that everything should be held up to their own tastes or have no right to exist. This is a spin-off game series that literally has never hid the type of game it is and there are people who enjoy that type of game.
