I've been refreshing it occasionally for a few hours now. Don't think it's gone on sale yet.

I think I might just give up and hope I can get a deal on the blue/blue joycon pair later.

I went to bed about 1:30am and woke up around 4:30am and Amazon still had preorders up. So they didn't go that fast, and they'll probably open them up again at some point during the day.
 
I preordered through gamestop. Is cancellation easy with them if I need to?

I'm waiting to see if amazon preorders do pop back up again.

They charged me immediately though, and I actually had a fraud alert on my Amex when I tried to grab one from them, but after manually authorizing it it went through on the second try.
 
Had to try a few different in-store pick up options before it finally processed, but finally managed to get a preorder in at Best Buy for the grey version.

Wasn't sure if I'd want one at launch, but that Zelda trailer sealed the deal for me. And it's just as well to take care of it now than to scramble later and run into stock issues. Less than a couple months away already!
 
With no gamestop in Puerto Rico and the closest best buy 2 hours away this was my only option. Went to bed half an hour before going live since I gave up and hoped it would've gone live in the morning. Fuck amazon people need to sleep.
 
On the plus side if I don't get it, I have a Wii U as backup for Breath of the Wild so it's whatever. Not buying BotW on Wii U though, I'd probably just gamefly it. I'd buy the switch version though.

It's honestly pretty annoying they didn't put it up right after the presentation. I was tired as fuck by then, I typically go to bed at 9 PM EST.

No worries, I'll wait till Mario Odyssey.
Not crazy about the bare launch line up, lack of third parties, and $300 price tag.
 
If I am not able to get it on Amazon by launch, I'll just grab Zelda on WiiU and wait until the holiday season to get the Switch, Preferable scenario actually.

When I attempted to order, the Target website said there was a problem with the card and bounced back to the review order screen. I went over to the Amex website and saw the fraud alert, selected that I was the person attempting the charge, and then tabbed back to the Target website and clicked to order again, and then it confirmed the order cleanly.

Check your pending transactions list at Amex. It may not post there instantly but mine has by now.
 
Whelp, my target redcard gives me the same 5% discount as Amazon, but holy shit. I staid up till 3 AM EST and this was a slap in the face what the fuck.
 
Oh what the fuck Amazon you putbit up at 2 am?!?!? People need sleep this is a goddamn joke amazon was my only shot at a Switch I had went to sleep early hoping amazon would do 10 am pre orders likw gamestop.

Yeah, I believe with Best Buy they continually randomly charging you and then crediting you until it comes out too. I had something last year or the year before that they charged on and off for like 4 months until it was released.
 
Lol went to sleep long before it was available even though I was planning to put in a pre-order. Well I guess more time to think it over. Didn't think Amazon would have it so early in the morning. But I guess for the west coast it wasn't too bad.

You can order from Gamestop.com. I did it's $17 for 4-7 day shipping but hoping to cancel and get a Amazon order.
 
well, missed amazon as I was sleeping :p but got one in at Gamestop.. lets see if they can honor it when the time comes.
Not feeling it having it charged now so BB is out I guess.
 
I knew it. I wouldn't be able to pre-order. Scalpers and those who sleep at different hours would get the damn thing first.

I don't understand why Amazon doesn't continue to take pre-orders and have different waves of shipping based on purchase date/time. In reality, another batch will go up and gone while most of us are busy at work or taking care of family. I can't be online on neogaf 24/7 on alert mode. Amazon alerts are fucking useless.

We should set up an alert list and someone should PM the list once another batch of pre-orders is available on Amazon.
 
Well, no go at Amazon, but nice to see that it was easy to get one pre-ordered elsewhere. Went with Gamestop.com.

I have said this for years now. It is baffling.
 
I went ahead and pre-ordered at Gamestop and BestBuy. Not because I'm planning to scalp one, but because I don't want a scenario where one of them gets canceled. If they both go through, I can always cancel/return one.

GameStop doesn't charge you until the item ships
 
The Target site it getting slammed I assume, because I can't get my order in. It keeps popping up with all kinds of random errors and also adding random ass items to my cart.
