Well I mean...my ex girlfriend had no libido because of the fact that she had been on birth control since 13. It fucked her hormones up. I was lucky to get sex with her once or twice a month. Not even kidding. Looking on Tinder (which many see as a hookup app) seriously 99% of female profiles are prefaced with "I'm not here for a hookup, I can get sex anytime I want". So dang I guess. Even the sex app is sexless.
Personally, I've been encountering a lot of women who state the sentiment that they don't need sex nor do they want it because they do a better job themselves with their hands and dildos and vibrators and a guy is just going to fumble around as well as possibly hurt her emotionally. It's not even about just the orgasm for me though. I crave the feeling of another human being against me, I want the moaning and the quivering and the kissing and the passion and the ability to pleasure someone.
I'm not opposed to some fun, casual, stress-relieving sex. Why should I deprive myself of sex just because I'm not in a serious relationship? I couldn't give a shit less what society things about my choice to have casual sex. On the other hand, women control sex and that's a fact so it isn't like I even have it like that to where I can just go out and get laid lol.

Factor in kids, and there you go. My son is taking martial arts after school three days a week, and my daughter just signed up for gymnastics. And they both have swimming class on Thursdays.
By the time I get home, the kids need attention for closing down the day, and once their down, I'm too goddamn tired most nights to do anything. Same with my wife. It's not that we're not attracted to one another, and when we do get down to business it feels like we both fulfill lots of sexual wants, but I mean...
We work, we have kids, we love each other, we talk, we bang when we can. Could be a few times a week, could be like twice a month if it's crazy busy.

I blame Netflix / Video Games / Internet for making the average consumer of those too lethargic. I find that women who are more athletic / active have a higher libido that matches mine. The problem though is that then, outside of that, we end up having nothing else in common.

That's a completely legitimate point, at least in the United States because of the sex taboo. I don't know anybody that openly cops to watching porn, but everything we know says that most people do, and they do it often.
There's no way that it isn't a factor, but I don't know how you'd get an accurate reading if it actually was or not.
Not a bad guess. It's probably not just one cause, so this could be a part of it.

I don't think the modern nuclear family is sustainable on dual FT work.

And if it's all on mom and dad, who both work FT, without extended family to lighten the load, it's gonna get worse.
This worked in the 50s and 60s since one income could provide for a household. Not anymore.
