Wasn't anything like $4000. Like $200-$300 range iirc, and I did not see reason to believe that it had been taken from the fundraiser money over the course of the direct inquiry I made via PM. Asked for various evidence, got it, video recording of his mom confirming the donations received and used for her dialysis equipment iirc, the crowdfunding page listed her name as the name that had to match the bank account name to sent the money to, so it went direct to her, and the drug weekend post in question sure seemed like a druggie's oblivious candid gaf post in entirely too specific detail of what drugs he had bought, how much of each, how much it cost, and why he had the extra money (less financial pressure to be helping his mom pay medical expenses from his salary). Looked like he had no idea it would be seen as ridiculously inappropriate to post on gaf about shortly after the fundraiser for his mom, and he hadn't posted about any other drug buys like he would usually seem to share entirely too candidly on the forum up to then since the fundraiser, so that looked like it.

He answered any questions about the incident readily with the written stance there of a guilty plea basically, no argument from him on that or attempts to make himself seem like the sympathetic character or resistance to personal accountability for what happened. When I was calling him out in those PMs, explaining how it was a betrayal of trust between him and the community and all that, he took it on the chin.. Story added up to me as a messy truth,, and after getting the necessary evidence and questions done with on my end, he said he had decided to go to rehab, clean up his life and change as part of his responsibility for what happened and to get out of all the hard drug use he had gotten used to as normal leading to the incident etc.. He was gone for some appropriate seeming stretch of time, guessing two weeks or so, not sure. He followed up with a PM when he came back to say that he had finished rehab and was serious about keeping things changed from there.

Keep in mind the guy posted obsessively on gaf back then and was clearly emotionally dependent on being on the forum every day, day and night, So it was really obvious to see the pre-rehab/post-rehab changes to his writing style and priorities of his posts, both immediately and longer term, without him indicating anything about it to me. Also I don't know if he could've very likely gone cold turkey from gaf for that long without being locked in somewhere anyway, at least as challenging as whatever drug withdrawal, tbh, so pretending to go to rehab didn't seem all that appealing anyway. I had donated $1k personally to his mom's dialysis fundraiser on gaf out of the $10k or so total, so at that point with confirmation enough in various ways that the fundraiser money had gone direct to his mom, not been tapped into for drugs directly at all, and was used for the intended at-home dialysis equipment and related medical expenses, I settled the matter by considering the drug weekend money he posted about using at worst to be from within my donation chunk's discretion to forgive or not, and in the clear for all the other gaffers who donated and his drug stuff appearing to be atoned for sincerely with the rehab, closed it out there. I don't know if I would demonize someone for having a drug addiction or going to rehab. I have been to rehab and its not all just terrible junkies who have no souls. The other stuff tho, not ok. At all.

The stuff that EviLore posted would piss me off immensely if I was involved. Seems like he had a very addictive personality. To be honest i'm glad I missed most of this drama. I mean he was clearly visible in the community but I just don't remember most of this.
 
I agree with MC Safety. The dude was a major asshole but I have a problem with people celebrating what happened with him. The pedo shit was completely fucked up and he deserrves what he got but this thread seems to me kind of petty and vindictive. Can we just forget his existence and move on? For us, not for him.

I never interacted with him on the forum, but remember seeing some of his posts. He seemed like a real mental case. That's pretty bad what eventually happened to him. He's messed himself up for life.

Well, I'm pretty sure he's a registered sex offender now so wherever he goes, he has to report to the local authorities and they make that information available to the public. Just hit up your local or state gov and there's likely a convenient map for you.

I think the rub is that a $300 weekend of drugs wasn't a one-time thing and we know this from his posting history.
It's careless to blow a small personal fortune on drugs to the point of having to collect money from others to tend to your mother.

This thread reeks of something I can 't quite place, and not sure why some of the parties in this thread are so bent on hammering this poor shit to the wall. This guy dug his own hole and now some are lining up to piss in it?
 
I think it's important to note that Amirox was demodded years before his crimes came to light and none of us had any idea about those particular interests of his. His drug bender after that crowd funding effort was shady as hell, there's no denying it. Evilore personally did what he could to verify the funds went where they were supposed to. I think it's fair to say that there's simply something broken inside that man's head. I'm sure the long history of drug use didn't help those matters much.

The situation being what it is, it's understandable that people would want to discuss a former prominent member of this forum's plunge into the abyss. We just ask that you keep things civil, same as usual.

If you ever read his acid tripping drugy posts you'd have figured him for someone who would've done something like this. It's not even controversial to me, when I found out I was like, "Well, yeah, that's Amir0x for you..."
 
I remember Amir0x, despite only joining this forum recently. I lurked and his avatar was plastered over so many threads. He had that anime chick avatar I think.
 
This guy is an interesting case of the types of people who scream the loudest about how everyone else is a bad person on the internet. I can't help but believe the loudest ones are the worst people in real life and that they're desperately projecting.

Yeah, I get that impression too.

The red text at the top of the OP comes off as a desire for genuine discussion before you scroll down and realise the rest of its content is quite literally pointing and laughing rather than actually attempting to talk about the topic at hand. There's this sanctimonious air about it that just sounds like "Look at how big of a scumbag this guy was, let's shit on him to signal how virtuous we are in comparison, but please don't lock because it's important that we have a space to beat this dead horse in order to make ourselves feel good."

Pretty fucking poor foundation for a discussion if you ask me, even if it has managed to attract one or two quality posts from people that know what they're on about.

As much wrongdoing that he has done, I don't think it's good to wish him harm or misfortune. Justice has been served, and he's in jail.

Why bother continuing to hate him? We should really hope that someone like him will be able to atone for his crime, figure out his life, and recover to become a productive member of society.
 
This forum is supportive of freedom of speach. However, claims of this type should be supported in someway at the least. We'll be waiting for further evidence of your views.
I don't understand why other Mods protected him for so long even after he scammed forum users out of money and was a non stop problem poster.

People were banned for calling him out on his bullshit. He protected class around here. Same with LIME and all of their lies.

The mods came out after the arrest and acted like they never who he really was and they never liked him. We all know all of that is a lie.

Yeah, it's quite ironic that the same thread has posts claiming people who are the loudest moralists have something to hide and posts where people are obnoxiously loud about this guy's morality.

This has turned into a weird thread...my two cents...

A lot of the people celebrating Amir0x's imprisonment are people who were bullied/threatened by him when he was a mod. He had a tendency to make life difficult for people he didn't like, so now it feels like he's getting a well-deserved comeuppance and people want to dance on his grave a little - it's an ugly response, but a very human one. And given what he was convicted of, I can't really feel bad for the guy - if anything, I feel bad that the sentence is only two years.

One of the people banned in this thread is most probably Olimario (Kotzen Ducha sure sounds like him); Amir0x printed out a photo of Oli's GF (now wife), jerked off to it then posted a photo of the semen-drenched print back to GAF. Grudges run deep.

Amir0x suffers severe mental illness. Serious enough that he should be locked up in an institution.

If being locked up in a mental house is not available, then prison is next on the list. As long as the general
public is protected from him.

As distasteful as the response has been, the reaction is, as Son of Cervantes said, very human. "Woke Male Feminist Ally outed as a sex pest" is, for the American Right in Current Year, what "Evangelical Preacher outed as homosexual" was for the American Left in the 00s. When loud, overbearing people who try to force other people to adhere to their moral standards are exposed as hypocrites, there's always going to be very public indulgence in schadenfreude. I don't think this thread could have gone any other way, particularly given the nature of the individual in question, and of the crime committed.

Most people wont ask for paperwork but there are some that will but again its not that often as people think. Its not an automatic death sentence and I bet he will be glad to be out of jail and in a prison which most people say is way better than Jail where they put you with anyone. In Prison everyone has a schedule and they "program" to do theyre own time. Alot of people wont want to start trouble on lower level yards cause it can seriously screw with your own release date and move you, the attacker, to a higher level prison yard.

Before anyone asks lol im knowledgable cause I know many people who have been in and out of prison. Not due to me being a bad person but just by association, ie uncles, cousins etc.
