There are literally zero straight celebrities who have treated their sexual orientation, in itself, as a private matter.

Celebrities have a right to disclose it on their own terms, but that doesn't mean the decisions they make aren't above criticism.

With power comes responsibility.

Hiding one's homosexuality to the media for so long while everyone thinks you're gay is sending the wrong message, and there are a lot of gays out there, especially the young, that need positive role models. Not a guy who makes it seem like being gay is something you should hide.

But I'm happy that he finally came out, all is well that ends well.
