For all the musicians out there... I have been using the free tuner app "G-Strings" for a while on the Droid and it is VERY good. Probably the best acoustic tuner I've used.
I've never had a problem with pictures rotating when uploading to Facebook.poweld said:It is, and you can. *Unfortunately* there is a bug with the latter, uploading pictures to Facebook, where the picture is rotated 90 degrees and you cannot do anything about it... this really irks me, so I hope it gets fixed up.
I just tried it again. Still the case. I'm using a Droid, for what it matters.Husker86 said:I've never had a problem with pictures rotating when uploading to Facebook.
Oh damn, I thought that just put a shortcut to the settings itself on the homescreen. Awesome, I'll give it a shot.Bboy AJ said:It's there for me in Settings.
Hold home screen, shortcuts, settings, running services.
poweld said:I just tried it again. Still the case. I'm using a Droid, for what it matters.
It only occurs when I take a picture in Portrait mode (the device's long edge pointing vertically). The image shows up correctly rotated, but when I go to share through Facebook the picture is incorrectly rotated.
Like I said, when viewing the picture it is correctly rotated per the orientation at which I shot it at. In addition, all other forms of "share" that I've tried (Email/Gmail/Twitter) haven't messed up the orientation.SimleuqiR said:Is the information on how you take the picture (portrait vs landscape) store in the actual image file? It might be that your Droid is not flagging the image file as a portrait image and this is why the Facebook App loads it up as a landscape one?

What I want is something that will stream my PC music to my phone. As in, I will be at school and if I want to listen to a song, I can just stream it to my phone. That way, I don't have to carry my music library with me.
I hope I'm making myself clear. Thanks!
On another note, is there a way to have my phone contact list sort by last name instead of first name?

What blows my mind is that there's a dlna app for streaming photos, music and video from your phone to your ps3/360/PC but NOT the other way around yet.Bboy AJ said:I looked at that video and it seems to be a Remote substitute for Android. As previously stated, the Beta version is still up and free. Unfortunately, from my personal experience, the Beta runs like garbage. Further, from what I've been reading, the paid one runs like garbage as well.Mw182006 said:Not sure if it's been said already, but Locale is showing up as $9.99 in the marketplace nowIn case you want to update the OP...

Jube3 said:Yea Bookmark 2, its free and you can use a favicon, a screencap of the website or a custom icon. I just started using it so far so good. this code should work.

Anyone know of a mod that will show a set of contacts on a screen (like the HTC ones Ive seen in pics). I guess like a widget. I only found one but didnt like how they looked on the home screens.[/QUOTE]
I'm a brand new Droid owner (just got it yesterday), and I'm desperately looking for a way to get my web shortcuts to have their favicon. It seems like a simple concept, but apparently not! Well, I installed Bookmark 2 but I can't seem to find the option to just set the favicon. It keeps wanting me to mess with the icon grabber. What's worse is that the icon grabber is far too big to capture the favicon, it seems, and the app unhelpfully states to "use the trackball to resize the picker." The Droid doesn't have a trackball.
I don't understand why it has to be this complicated. :\
skybaby said:Yeah, I don't understand how the icon thing works. The first one I did was for gaf and it's perfect. Every other time I tried it showed that stupid bookmark thing
WaveSecure is an All-In-One Lost Phone Solution for Android
Android/Windows Mobile/Symbian: If your phone goes missing or gets lifted, WaveSecure, currently free for Android phones, can lock it from further use, restore your contacts and call/SMS history, and even roughly locate and track its wayward use.
For an app that's being given away free to Android Market downloaders (until Jan. 31), WaveSecure (technically WaveSecure Lite in the Market) does a remarkable job of covering everything you'd be nervous about if your phone went missing. Install the app on your phone, back up your data and SMS/call logs, and set up an automatic backup routine, if you'd like. WaveSecure also asks for at least one friend's contact number that it will SMS in the event that your SIM card is swapped out for another. From then on out, WaveSecure sits in the background, waiting for you to spring into action from the WaveSecure site.

I'm surprised more people aren't bringing up these security issues that seem to plague the market. It seems that both the apple store and the market suffer from polar extreme opposites in terms of security philosophy in approving apps. Can't we meet android in the middle?Karma said:If you don`t trust it then turn it off when you type in a password or credit card.
