From 1.5? Yeah hes missing quite a bit actually. He doesnt even have google navigation. (My mom has the eris and always complains about the things that she doesnt have that my droid does, so im keenly aware of whats lacking.)Solideliquid said:You're not missing much. I do like the pinch zoom in the browser but don't even turn on live wallpapers, and I have a Droid.

I'm partial to Live Sports by Citizen Sports. Sportstap is also popular.Blu_LED said:Does anyone know a good app for checking sport scores, mostly baseball?
There is none. The best you can do, besides converting, is use orb to stream videos straight from your computer from the browser. Takes a bit of tinkering and the web interface is shit (and app is way too expensive), but it works pretty well for what it is.catashtrophe said:Got the HTC desire and its amazing what's the best divx player to get for it
Oh yeah dude. Google navigation is totally a game changer. The eris only comes with 1.5? Sucks...NimbusD said:From 1.5? Yeah hes missing quite a bit actually. He doesnt even have google navigation. i heard that theyre even going to stop selling erises soon, i hope that doesnt mean that theyre giving up on updating it to 2.1.
Do yourself a favor and root it. Then you can get 2.1 right now. It's very easy. You won't mess it up if you follow the directions.Big Chief Crazy Cone said:Where the fuck is my 2.1 Verizon? Yep. I have no need for any other browser. xScope is now better than all the others in every way.sn1pes said:Anyone else using the xScope browser? I'm absolutely loving it. Using the free edition for now but will most likely donate after more testing.

Once you try this browser you will be blown away. One review I read did a javascript test and xScope rendered 40% faster than the stock browser. Also xScope has a file manager, task manager, themes, opera style UI and more. I'm loving it, and I usually don't gush about apps.gcubed said:i really havent bothered trying it yet, whats the big difference over stock? Everyone says the stock browser sucks, but maybe i just dont know what is sucky about it.
when will google start talking about their new firmware? I figured we'd hear something about it post apple's conference.
Yeah, it's basically Chrome for Android as far as speed goes. It has two forms of multi-touch zoom (pinch style + one finger double-tap/drag - tap once, then tap again and hold and drag). It allows you to specify per-domain user-agents so you can fake being a PC or iPhone or whatever only on certain websites (facebook.com, for example so you can get the full version instead of the mobile/touch version). Also, there are free themes you can download to spruce it up.sn1pes said:Once you try this browser you will be blown away. Nice. Any other tips for an xScope noob?CrayzeeCarl said:Yeah, it's basically Chrome for Android as far as speed goes. I can't deny it seems to handle javascript faster than the stock, but I hate its look, I hate that it hides the notification pane and I don't really have any complaints or annoyances with the stock browser for my needs.sn1pes said:Anyone else using the xScope browser? Press the Menu key and hit "Window Mode" or whatever it's called. You'll have your notification pane back.jonnybryce said:I can't deny it seems to handle javascript faster than the stock, but I hate its look, I hate that it hides the notification pane and I don't really have any complaints or annoyances with the stock browser for my needs.

Also weird is that AT&T's Backflip is getting updated in Q3... that seems like an awful long time from now, and I doubt they'd peg that time unless Google told them they'd be holding off on new Android versions for a while.
