I bought Pure Grid Calendar when I first got my EVO and really like it. I do like the look of the Launcher Pro widget though, it's a bit cleaner like the HTC widgets, and I like being able to open agenda view from it (though Pure does let you open a single days agenda). If the Launcher Pro widget got the calendar timelines on the main grid I'd probably switch.skybaby said:

glad i'm not the only one who likes the timelines on the calendar. I think the LP widget is definitely nice and clean, but another revision or two will make it great. If they release a scrolling messaging widget i'm in love... and google should just buy these guys out
Just bought LauncherPro Plus. Second app I've actually bought.
Edit: Holy fuck, this dude's calendar widget owns. Actual in-widget scrolling by swipes and list view on the fly.
If he adds a music widget and mail widget Sense will have been rendered completely obsolete.

Can you add more columns/rows in Launcher Pro?
I prefer the dock and "hide icons in app list" feature in Launcher Pro but ADW Launcher just gives me more real estate to work with with the custom column/rows layout.

I'm getting ready to upgrade my SD card and was wondering how I go about restoring my apps.
Is it possible to mount it and copy over the root directory structure, then copy that to the new SD card without losing anything?

Just tried backing up everything like I had asked and everything came over without a problem, 100% restored.

hey guys, I just rooted (I think?) my htc hero using unrevoked, what should I do next, or what can I do? I was told 2.2 is available via root and such..

Is that for the sprint version htc hero? And what does it do, i'm totally new at this.. Last time I cracked a device was a psp :lol
Uh oh. I've come across my first problem with froyo on my desire. The internet browser is noticeably less responsive. That's not to say pages load slower because thet don't but slow intricate moves around a web page are either no longer picked up or slightly more sluggish. Anyone else noticed this or having similar experiences?

I've never played WWF, but Word Fued is fairly basic as well. Two players and you can only enter words that are in its dictionary, but it's fun. I've had a game that's been going on for a couple of days and WF hasn't lost track of it, so I guess it holds up on that front.AstroLad said:

Anyone figure out how to get out of "Authorizing Purchase" purgatory? Have one app I haven't been able to d/l for three days now and another one I got today that is doing the same thing. Meanwhile other apps are going through fine. Turned off wireless, stopped and restarted d/ls, and did a battery pull but still stuck.

Adw and launcherpro perform very similarly for me, droid.
Since the intro of the widges and some other cool features I've become a LP convert. The bookmark and people widgets are ok, love the calender (prefer it over pure) and am most excited for the fb widget.
The swipe gestures are cool but I haven't found a great use for them. I'm noticing a bit more buggy and slow behavior + more fc than ever, I hope this isn't a sign of what's to come as he continues to add widgets and features.

I have a HTC Desire (Just got the 2.2 update installed, Yay!) and have been taking a lot of pictures with my phone since it is so easy to upload to Facebook and such. But after looking at my friend demoing his IPhone 4 and some picture apps (like photo box?) I was really amazed at how good the pictures could look when using the different filters and effects and what not using his apps on the IPhone.
So my question is then, is there something similar to the Android? If there is, what would be the best camera app out there?
