I'm with you there.. I hate dual shock analog stick placement.Shepherd said:I got my PS3 just to watch Blu-Ray movies. I tried out a few of the game demos and really like them. Only problem is I don`t like the controller. I am going to try the new Nyko Zero and see if it is better if not I don`t think I will be gaming on the PS3.
I missed out on most ps2 games. And for every new ps3 game i could buy, i can get 5-6 good ps2 games on ebay insteadBig-E said:I really don't see how people on a game forum can have no interest in PS3 games when they have the system.

OmniGamer said:Times change...i've been on this forum for almost 10 years, and at that time, I prided myself on always having the major systems each gen(hence my name "OMNIgamer"). I didn't, and still don't, care about platform exclusivity, i play games not systems...but unfortunately shortly after the start of the PS2/GC/XB gen, I was unemployed and completely broke for most of it...I still got all three systems(eventually), but barely got any games, barely played, and in some ways the times have gotten ahead of me and i find myself not all that willing to try to get back into it. I'm not big on FPS games, and I've yet to play a single online game(despite now having the capability to)
The PS3 is a hellavuh versatile system...i've gotten plenty of enjoyment out of its other multimedia funtions...for instance it plays back HD/High Bitrate videos much better than my relatively underpowered computer(plus i'm on an old 17" 4:3 CRT monitor, so it's much better seeing HD videos on my 32" 16:9 HDTV). Streaming videos/music/photos with TVersity is awesome, as is all of the PS3/PSP connectivity as well.
And for me, $60 games are a huge barrier.
In summary, people are free to enjoy their PS3 as they see fit.
DarthWaiter said:Before the PS3 came out, a lot of people prophesied that the PS3 would take off similar to the PS2 because of Blu-Ray on the PS3 a la DVD on PS2.
Well here I am, owner of a PS3 with 30 Blu-Ray movies and not a single PS3 videogame.
So I'm asking, any others on here with a PS3 and not a single game for it?
Big-E said:I see your point and its completely valid but you still seem to have some interest in games but have other circumstances barring you from experiencing. My point was I don't see how one who has already paid the up front cost of the system can sit there and say that the PS3 is there Blu-Ray player and they will never buy a game for it.
6.8 said:ur biased.
And that negates the PS3's game playing functionality?DarthWaiter said:because I have a 360 and a Wii and I use those for games
OmniGamer said:Yeah that's true...if i had more money i'd certainly love to get and play more PS3 games...though i'm sure there are some cases like mine where the person has completely fallen out of contemporary gaming, and maybe got a PS3 to act as a media center, old school PS/PS2 game upscaler, DVD upscaler, and BluRay player.

Pachinko said:25 movies and 3 games... I guess that puts me firmly in the "yes , yes I did buy a ps3 to watch movies" catagory. I got a 360 to play nexgen games, a wii to play gimmicky toys and mario and a ps3 to watch movies in hidef.
Nice! keep up the good work.polyh3dron said:Well, just like the cocky Sony execs said would happen lol, I got a PS3 at launch without really wanting any of the games that were there at launch and I was still happy with it because of the Blu-ray movies.
I stopped buying SD DVDs quite a while before the PS3 came out in anticipation and I now have about 120 BD movies.
:lol :lolZeed said:I bought it for both but since there are no games I've been very happily using it as a movie device. It's packed with gigs upon gigs of delicious media and has quickly become my favorite object in the living room.
yup own plenty of blu's and games_leech_ said:I bought it for both, and i'm more than happy with both.
