Bored Sunday topics!
I've always looked at Yoda's lightsaber fighting in the prequels with disdain since I've always felt that he was powerful enough to not require it for one on one combat. And him flipping around with his little lightsaber always looked ridiculous to me, as did many things prequel-related, I suppose.
Luke potentially takes a Yoda-like role in the upcoming Ep8, but with the distinction that he seemingly rejects the Jedi order and/or philosophy, which I hope extends to the use of lightsabers since those are the signature Jedi/Sith weapon.
I feel like a master force user can still be extremely deadly without a lightsaber in one on one combat with a lightsaber wielder and would show us something new in a live action SW movie.
So what do you think?
