Aonuma: Majora's Mask 3D possible if "clamor from fans is there"!

I hope they outsource the remake to Capcom. Their Zeldas were so much fun!

Maybe they could even implement some form of fan interaction with the dev process?

It's not like Majora's Mask 3DS is ruling out an entirely new Zelda 3DS, guys. I'm sure that last one is already in the works for a couple of years.

Grezzo can be working on this and the usual portable Zelda team can work on the new installment in the series. I'm not seeing the problem.

Therefore clamor we shall. With dicks.

So fans have to beg to give up their money(again) on another remake huh? How about new 2D zelda with side scrolling and overview elements please.

I really wish game makers and their PR would shut the fuck up about this. They can't possibly know how successful a game will be, even if there were fans "clamoring."

GAME COMPANIES:

If you want some assured profit, ask for it from fans ahead of development.

THERE IS A FUCKING WEBSITE TO HELP YOU DO THIS.

Hahaha

He's not even saying it's possible, he's saying "it wouldn't be an utter impossibility."

YES PLEASE!

A Majora's Mask remake with the same care they gave OoT.

As a huge Zelda fan I am saddened to say I never finished MM. This would be a great opportunity to do so.

CLAMOUR!! Developers need to learn how to stop saying stuff like this. It's the latest trend... but it's a stupid trend...

I'd love a Majora's Mask in 3D or HD, though. If it has Mirrored Master Quest, better framerate (and the game really needs it based on my last playthrough), prettier models and masks, and remastered music similar to what OoT3D has, I'll buy a copy. It's my favourite 3D Zelda, after all...

But I want a new, original 3DS Zelda in the OoT aesthetic style a little more.

The first line got my hopes up, then the second line dashed them...

On one hand I really want to clamor for this on the other I'd like them to make a new game. Preferably a NEW legend of zelda which would be a 2D zelda game in the vein of new super mario bros.

How about we clamor for, you know, actual new games? Wouldn't that be more productive?
They probably have half a dozen new zelda games in the pipeline irregardless of the fans view.

clamor clamor clamor clamor clamor!!!!!!!!!!!!

But I'd rather have them incorporate key features of MM into all the new Zelda titles like the deeper interaction with the npcs and their changing schedules.

The portable Zelda team is probably working on an original Zelda game right now like they usually do. OoT3D was made primarily by Grezzo under Nintendo's direction, so despite popular belief it won't interfere with the development of an original Zelda game.

Unless the portable Zelda team is going full-time on the next Zelda game for the WiiU

Last I checked we were getting a new Zelda this year.

There's nothing wrong with also clamoring for a remake of a fan favorite.

E3 2012 Nintendo will announce Majora's Mask 3DS.

Then we won't hear anything for several months.

Nintendo will open up a website where fans can contribute to make additions to the game.

After a couple more months Nintendo will shut down the website and cancel the game citing a "lack of enthusiam from the fanbase".

Then it will be announced that Link wont be in Super Smash Bros.4

Next people cosplaying at future conferences will be kicked out.

Any website mentioning "Link" will be fined.

Every owner of a Zelda game will be forced to destroy their copies.

The color green will be banned.

Then Nintendo will mount a giant laser on their building and shoot it at the planet. Erasing every memory of a character named "Link".

I wonder why this has not happened yet, and why the whole concept hasn't been ripped off by someone else and expanded upon more often.

It's not portable though. Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks have REALLY dampened my enthusiasm for portable Zelda.

Well the system has analog now, removing the need to mess with the control scheme.

Well those games were designed around the DS' restrictions for the most part. Honestly Spirit Tracks would be perfectly fine if there was more freedom of travel on the overworld (and things to actually do on it also) imo.

You have to remember that both of those games were largely made by the remaining members of Flagship, aka the people responsible for Oracles and The Minish Cap. Also, the team from Four Swords Adventure who were involved with the original development of A Link to the Past.

That's the thing. They obviously already know the demand is there for a Majora's Mask remake/port/whatever. I'm just saying it would be nice if fans redirected their energies towards not only getting new Zelda games, but also new IPs.

But it's Nintendo, so fan demand is of little consequence. They'll make Majora's Mask 3D regardless. Until they release Xenoblade or any of the other countless games they haven't released yet in NA, I won't believe a single word they say about the "clamor" of fans having any impact on their development or release schedules.

If it doesn't matter then fans might as well ask for what they want rather than what you want.

Fuck this clamor of the fans and other bullshit along those lines.
Stop jerking people with this kind of crap, you have to have some kind of Helen Keller level awareness issues if they need to put crap like this out there.
It is like Square with their "if there is interest" garbage.
How about your 3dS is the most dispointing purchase that i have made since I spent $5.99 on Sea Monkeys are Woolworths when I was like 12 you should should make some clamor about some new games so I do not trade the POS in the minute Vita comes out if not before.

They were terrible not because of the control scheme, but because of terrible design choices.
