SOLD! $150 is way too cheap to pass up. MINE MINE MINE

At first I thought the nano was hideous but it's so small and thin that I don't give a shit. I'll probably buy one just for podcasts.

I dont understand the point of the ipod touch.

With the iphone price drop, you might as well get that instead. 16GB is fuck all, might as well just settle for the 8GB of the phone and replace 2 gadgets with one. The touch really needed a better more unique design from the iphone.

might still get one from ebay though as i just got me a razr2

LOL @ The Digg front page right now. Oh, Apple...

I still can get over that the iPhone saw a $200 pricedrop today. Fucking insane.

Looks like my wallet stays full this time.

Touch is what I wanted, but I can't cut my space in half. On top of that it sucks that I got a temp. Video iPod just for my vacation, expecting to replace it right about, you know, now, and the only replacement is the classic. Blah.

I think these are cool looking. Why do people hate them?

Edit: Apple really loves Nelly Furtado.

I don't know. I think this might be the next iPod I get. I wanted the touch, but the price is crazy for the storage.

The point of it is that AT&T is shit as a carrier, and people with a good provider, like Verizon, won't switch to garbage.

Ipod touch will be mine muahahahahaha. Need some good javascript based organizer/datebook will make the ultimate pda. I feel bad for all the iphone early adopters with this 200 dollar price drop :-(

Not only is AT&T your only option if you want to use it as a phone (as said above), but it's also got insanely expensive monthly plans.

So for me I'd rather just get a swanky iPod touch to hang out with my old school nano that only gets used at the gym. I prefer cheap phones that can get dropped or scrapped by keys without worrying about how much they cost me, personally.

The problem I have is that, inevidably, I'll be out somewhere and suddenly want to listen to a particular song, and of course it isn't in the current selection of music on my iPod. 95% of the time, I could get away with having only a couple GB of music with me, but then that particular moment comes up when I want to hear that particular song, and I get pissed that I don't have it.

Music emergencies? I don't have many of those I guess. I usually have the latest music on my 30GB, podcasts and some all-time favorite songs. I think I could get by with 16GB, but I must ask myself is it worth it for the new interface and wi-fi that I probably wouldn't ever use.

Very easy, overpriced phone with overpriced att&t voice+data plans equal sticker shock :P

I'm glad it dropped to a reasonable price but those data plans still suck ass if you're on a different provider.

I switched from Verizon to AT&T and have hardly noticed a difference. In fact, I'd say that I've had fewer dropped calls on AT&T then I did on Verizon. It's been rock steady when ever I've needed it, and that includes several trips out of state to other cities.

$20 for all you can eat data sucks ass? I have to disagree.

I am an apple addict.... Ipod video 80 gb ,USB stick style ipod shuffle, girlfriends old ipod mini ,macbook pro... used to have original ipod, powerbook. Please help me and donate money to my addiction.

that ipod touch is nice but not enough storage for the price.

the ipod nano is nice but not enough storage for the price.

so all thats left is the ipod classic which is reasonably priced for a 80gig; this will be my only ipod option when i finally get a new mp3 player, but will more than likely just wait to see what MS has to offer.

right, so buy a classic.

I don't get the bitching. All I hear is you want a 160GB iPod touch for $350 with 40 hours playback time. Well that isn't going to happen. Something will have to give.

Either you *need* the storage and get a classic, or you *need* wifi/web/big screen for video and get the touch.

As far as I can tell both got pretty good upgrades compared to what you had before. 160GB compared to 80 before, for the same price? Stop complaining.

touch with double the capacity of the iphone and thinner? Stop complaining

I'm considering purchasing either an 80 or 160 gig classic for my next music player. Not all that impressed by everything else...

EDIT: That Nano looks fugly. Eck...

Don't mean to be a pest (and I'm gay), but let's not forget about Apple's huge stumbles today as well.

- Ringtones: Hahahahahahaha.
- iPod Shuffle: You can squeeze 2gig out of it, at least. Tards.
- New iPod Classic/Nano interface: It's ugly and stupid. I don't need Cover Flow. It looks tacked on, but I'll wait until I play with one.

So I love the fact that unconfirmed shots of the nano were disgusting, and once they become apple branded they're hot sex.

What are you talking about? There was tons of bitching about how ugly they are in this thread.

Sorry. Can't stop complaining. I don't know what market they're going for here.

Looking at the nano's colors, maybe girls are more apt to buy that because of the "cute factor".

You'd really have to be in love with the iTouch's UI to spend 400 bucks.

i agree, but not on fewer dropped calls. its been exactly the same for me, but my three year old phone i had with Verizon did have much better sound for some reason.

i was a hardcore AT&T sucks, Verizon fanboy for the past few years and up until about two weeks ago I'd argue with anyone that Verizon has better service. well two weeks ago i switched to AT&T and notice no difference. i'm done with the 'which carrier is better' arguement because now i know that theyre both the same.

if Verizon finally realizes that their phones suck i'll switch back when two year contract with AT&T ends, but for now i'm satisfied with AT&T.

I don't know oif this has been asked already, but do all the current 5G owners get a firmware update?

Been asked and I've responded.

:lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol

This is APPLE. They rarely update the firmware for old models and when they do it's usually to patch major bugs, not to add features. Whats the incentive in upgrading to the new model if your old one can do the cool new features? They didn't even bother to include the search feature in the 5.5G to the 5G firmware.

Actually yes it does considering you have only 450 minutes of talk time. If I had to get on this plan I would probably discontinue using my own telephone service to compensate for this expensive monthly fee.
