anyone record just the music? i loved how the theme from the main screen would get instrumental backing when you went into character select.
I'm thinking the tier list would be more based around arms than fighters honestly.
Are Ribbon Girl's party punches or confetti punch or whatever their called suppose to be good? I don't think I've ever been hit by that arm.
Seeing the healthbars I bet you were hiding as they duked it out with each other. >_> <_<
Mummy needs an arm that will make him agile. I don't see that character getting use.
There's also a slight meta in regard to arm placement. If you see your enemy put a medium arm on their right and a light on their left, it's best for you to put a heavy on your left and a medium or higher on your right.

Ive only seen a few Helix players who are absolutely dangerous.
That guardian is a nightmare if used correctly and his elasticity if used properly can be problematic.
Helix is the character that has the highest learning curve plus he can dodge a super with his elasticity. A skilled Helix can be a formidable opponent.
Helix definitely needs better ARMS.

I like Mummy too. But I had trouble with the more mobile chars just jumping and throwing me.
I played for another 30 minutes this morning and only reconfirmed that I will need hours and hours of isolation drills to get the controls down. Right now I have to concentrate too much on each action. If I am (intentionally) throwing a hooked punch with my right hand, I am not really aware of what I am doing with my movement and left hand. Sure, I may be jumping and dashing if that's what I was doing before, but I am not, like, intentionally or strategically doing those things. Often I find myself passively drifting out of range because I have let my joycon tilt back while I was focusing on some other action.
I'm also noticing that years of gaming have conditioned me to think left hand = movement, right hand = action, so I tend to throw far fewer punches with my left hand.
He's incredibly strong and can self heal. I was able to usurp Ribbon Girls and Ninjaras who were the top of the lobby with him. It's all about how you use the characters, man
The only time I've had issues with Helix is in V-Ball. Can try what I want, I just can't deal with the ball as him.
I would imagine making him tall and using the ice dragons/blurbs could be useful in V ball
I almost always used Megaton/Retorcher.
Use Megaton.
Opponent dodges the slow attack and flanks, goes for grab.
Use Retorcher to break grab. Punish.
I certainly never felt that any of the more mobile characters beat me because their character was 'better'.
I think this was subconsciously probably why I always put the Megaton on the left side, as it was my big 'set-up' hand, while my right did the 'work'.

It sounds like you were fighting inexperience Ribbon Girls and Ninjaras.![]()
This game is gonna get balance changes. I have some gripes with certain characters. Surprisingly Mummy and Mechanica don't need nerfs like I guessed back when they were revealed.
I didn't know Twintelle can slow down punches. And she can charge in mid-air? She is gonna sweep.
honestly it's foolish to make definitive statements this early on in the game
we haven't even played competitive 1v1 yet
The difference is she can hover.Everyone can charge mid air though?
That ability doesn't seem that strong though considering it that it doesn't slow them down enough to the point that you'll dodge them every time. Plus the slower speed means the person subjected to it could just curve the punch to actually hit.
It's ok, it's basically a keepaway armAre Ribbon Girl's party punches or confetti punch or whatever their called suppose to be good? I don't think I've ever been hit by that arm.

You also probably want to play Mummy like a Zangief, slowly walk them towards a wall or corner.
That's exactly what you do. Block when they punch, punch when they throw, keep them at medium range and then unleash when they're cornered. You can also run a similar game with Mechanica, except you have some extra movement options there instead of regenerating health.
I've seen folks running a turtle game with both that was absolutely devastating. I've pulled off a few absolutely soul snatching victories with both, but I'm not really all that great at the game yet.
Knowing whether something is balanced requires players to play at a pretty high level. And no, just because someone got 100+ points so far doesn't mean they've fully grasped the mechanics. This is like saying Splatoon rollers are OP.

Fair enough. Regardless I believe from seeing videos about people who have the game early and have tried her, I can't exactly remember why, but apparently the ability isn't as powerful as it sounds on paper.

The released game will let you choose modes online, right?
1v1v1 and the 2v2 Knuckles Chaotix modes are more annoying than fun compared with other modes.
Guess there's no chance they're going to run this again before release is there? God I'm so angry about the ANZ times, I'm not buying this game having only played the tutorial.
Remember to press L every time you block a punch guys (the dash button), trust me
Next weekend, same times
Anyone know how to move backwards and forwards when using motion conrols?

I hope it's possible to customize the controls in the full game. I really don't like L3 as guard.
This so much. Makes me not use it much.I hope it's possible to customize the controls in the full game. I really don't like L3 as guard.
Stupid question: in modes with multiple opponents, how do you switch your target? I've tried moving around to try to center my camera and punches on the person I want to target, but I can't help feeling there's a simpler solution.
