I'm at work so I can't see the clips, but how do they look? Do they have the same AD feel? (quirky music, etc.)

The way its shot and edited doesn't make it feel like a documentary anymore (camera pans, color grading, etc) but that first clip has the old religious "I have to prepare for the Sabbath" theme music in the background lol

i really dislike the way the show looks (colour grading/lighting etc., not the faux documentary style) so i'm pretty happy to hear this.

*snip*
We can't get netflix here in Aus :(

Edit that before the blood gods enact their wrath

Get Mediahint, Hola-Unblocker, or Unblock-US (though the latter comes with a monthly fee). That or just wait for the Blu-Rays which will probably be out sometime around August/September. At the very least, give 15 bucks to a friend who can use netflix, or buy yourself a copy of the new DVD release, do SOMETHING to show some kinda financial support so that these don't end up being the last episodes we ever see.

lindsay is looking pretty rough. maeby is looking not bad

If there isn't some joke shitting on Portia's appearance in the OT I will be sorely disappointed, FoxDie

- Portia was on Fallon with a clip, too (might be the same one that MMaRsu posted)

Good luck. Let me know if you need any help.

I just saw this clip. It's weird... are they gonna present the story in two styles? That Fallon clip was clearly shot like a mockumentary but the clip from that ABCnews interview was more... cinematic. Wouldn't be surprised if the different presentation styles exist for a specific reason (maybe to distinguish between flashbacks and the present setting)

I don't think AD is funny when taken out of context. Clips are only funny now because you've seen the build up before hand. I wouldn't worry, it'll be funny.

The Bluth Banana stand is going to make its way to LA:

Bluth's Original Frozen Banana Stand will continue traveling around New York through Thursday, at which point it will head across the country to spend a few days in Los Angeles. It is also slated to make other appearances around the world. Follow @ArrestedDev on Twitter to find out if it will be traveling to a city near you.

I need to go to this

Duly noted. ;)

If anyone else has suggestions, wants some gifs or pics, or wants to help out in the OT, zing your arrow into my PM inbox any time!

Good luck. Let me know if you need any help.

Thanks.

I'm wondering how we should handle the spoilers. Not entirely sure if the 'spoiler tag for the first month' method that was used for House of Cards would work because of how visual AD could get with spoilerscreens. We could ask people to url tag images for the first month, or make a separate spoiler thread

Anyone have suggestions/preferences?

There are certain scenes that can be taken out of context and still be funny even to people who do not follow the show. I'm thinking the Ms Featherbottom "enchanting entrance".

My gut feeling is that we should just make it a free-for-all (no spoiler tags) from Day 1. I'm guessing most people are probably going to tear through it pretty quickly. Also, with the multiple perspectives being used (if they're still doing that) and the nature of Arrested D & comedies in general, it seems like spoilers are less of an issue than they would be for something like House of Cards.

So, my opinion is that the main thread should be no spoiler tags, and then perhaps someone can run another thread for a more structured viewing of the series - a la the rewatch thread that we have right now. Didn't someone volunteer to do that anyway, or am I not remembering things correctly?

Anyone else want to weigh in on this?

Yeah I can handle the structured thread, model it after the current one. I'd love it though if we could get some people to contribute some banner work or otherwise spruce the place up as I have no artistic skills :p

Saw the banana stand at Columbus circle today. Didn't want to wait in line, but it was cool to see. Wish I got a Mr Manager sticker at least :(

I saw some shakiness in last night's clip from Portia's appearance on Fallon.

Yeah, I posted that before I watched the clip. Love them
panning out to Maebe
, reminds me of when the camera panned out on Michael and Buster's convo to reveal that the were actually in a meeting haha

Here's an interview with David Cross and Tony Hale on a Swedish radio station. Most of the information is otherwise old and unremarkable, but Cross notes that the episode lengths actually range from around 27 minutes to 31 minutes each, so they're definitely taking advantage of the extra ad-free running time (and also pretty much dashes any thoughts of syndication down the road). EDIT: for reference, most of the episodes of the original run topped out at about 22-23 minutes max.

Very cool, I always wanted longer director cuts for every episode for all those great deleted scenes on the DVDs.

Rewatching the first two episodes of season 1 and jeebus, the attention to detail, the background noises that occurs, the sharp writing...I hope season 4 is anywhere near the first two seasons.

I always thought Maybe was cute and the actress aged fine to me. Voice takes some getting used to though!

Not sure if this has been posted in the thread already, but someone compiled a list of recurring jokes on AD in a cool visual format. Worth a look.
Clicked on the first one: "Tobias is totally gay", links to almost every episode in the show lol.

So really it's like we're getting 18~19 episodes worth of new AD. Sweet.

Adding as much as 10 minutes of running time in some cases onto each episode over the original network run, it really is equivalent to a new full season order as opposed to the "mini series" they've been describing it as up to this point, though it initially was only going to be 10 episodes. Man, how often does that happen on network TV though, where a show actually has leeway to add MORE episodes to the season order.

<img src="img/greatest_actor_ever.jpg" class="explosion_of_flavor" alt="I think I just blue myself..." />

and the source html for the insert one has this image that I can't find anywhere on the site proper:
