i'm tryin, man

it's messed up because I feel like the show started really strong, and at this point it feels like they're stretching things out for no reason

and also thea is the worst character in the history of everything

Also Felicity is basically the only likeable character in the whole show at this point, and she just feels like an ascended extra that they got lucky with

Thea is insufferable on season 1.

I'm thinking Sin's the killer...Amell already said she was around and that she'd be back. Her height fits with Felicity's findings, and Sara's reaction would be fitting. Sin enters the league of shadows to follow in her heroine's footsteps, Ra's corrupts her and sends her to kill Sara....

yeah...which I liked...I just want Laurel to get it, and use it more...or in a more iconic manner (if that makes sense).

Blind guessing

Laurel's mom comes back and teaches her how to use the "family trait". It's will sound okay, but will be awful in her portraying it.

Thea's the fucking best. God that whole stuck up princess thing just gets me so hot.

Motivations not there, but she's on the suspect pool

Nothing whatsoever. She's doing it to spite her mom in combination of not wanting to have anything to do with her. Moira's desire is that Thea be safe and not in jail, and Thea wants to run counter to that desire, even if it's cost to herself.

It's not stupid, really. If anything, that kind of conviction would be admirable if it wasn't used for such a petty purpose. Just really shortsighted and not really a conflict that is interesting or goes anywhere in terms of narrative.
Besides, she folds anyway soon afterwards, so whatever

Yeah, Thea is the worst.

Hope she gets killed very soon.

I do find it hilarious that these people can be trained for a year tops and be forces to be reckoned with.
It's always hillarious how soldiers in all kinds of media get taken out by everything head on. Some guy with a bow, various small animas, children with boomerangs, middleaged janitors, seniors, crippled seniors. Ehy bother training soldiers at all.

I subscribe to the same theory.

I don't think it's Sin. It's really weird not seeing her in these episodes. It's gotta be someone either from Flash or Arrow we never thought about.
Like Tommy

I agree. I find it bothersome that Roy is shown to be as good of an archer and fighter as Ollie. Did I miss something here? Did he retain some abilities from the mirakuru?

I don't think he is as good, he is competent but for instance Nyssa took him out immediately. Ollie managed to hold her off way longer.

Boxing glove arrow!!

Obvious that Roy didn't kill Sara too, and Cupid at the end could be seen earlier in the episode outside the gym.

So in the comics, Cupid was a government agent who underwent a procedure that enhanced her physical abilities but also made her insane and obsessive. Any chance they adapt that origin through Mirakuru?

Why do all the insane freaks gravitate towards Gotham City? Why do all the alien freaks gravitate towards Metropolis? Why are all the metahumans sticking around in Central City?

Just cause comics.

Pretty much

if Darkseid decided to come to Ollie's turf it wouldn't be much fun for either side

Diggle is dying and Ollie doesn't have any miraculous herbs from the Island to save him. The only option is for Felicity to download his brain into Ollie's new bow.
Oh god, that would be amazing. It also would enable a very strange but interesting romantic relationship between him and Felicity. She already loves computers.

Oh boy, Roy would flip out.

You know, I didn't think this past episode was too bad. It definitely had its moments.

Season as a whole is still... not great. The flashbacks are entirely useless and Sara's death has been handled rather clumsily.

I thought it was a pretty good episode. Wasn't part of the main arc but had good character development for Roy and Laurel, and we finally found out a bit more about Wildcat. The parallels between Wildcat's apprentice and Arrow/Arsenal were obvious, but it was a thread that held the episode together and it's always nice to have a theme that encapslates the episode. The memory mediation scenes were cleverly done and invited the viewer to play along as well - I was searching those flashes of memory looking for where the courier left the package.

I think a lot of this "season 3 sucks so far" sentiment is looking at the previous seasons as a whole, which is unfair. A cake that has been baked is going to taste better than one in the oven. We know where seasons 1 and 2 ended up and why they were awesome. But we had no idea if they would be good in the first few episodes.

All we have now, just like in season 1 and 2, is a bunch of plot threads in development. We still have yet to see what Ra's can do (and can you believe that people were writing him off after 20 seconds of screen time!). We don't know what Ray Palmer has to do with all of this. We have no idea how Laurel will turn out.

Who knows. At the end of season 3 we might be saying "OMG BEST ARROW SEASON EVER SLADE HAS NO SWAG NEXT TO RA'S, LAUREL'S BLACK CANARY > SARA'S BLACK CANARY"

So, episode title for S3E12 was released: 'Uprising'. Spoiler'ing thing part just in case.

There have been theories popping up all over the place, I posted one in /r/arrow, but it seems to tie together 'The Climb' and 'Uprising'. Basically, Oliver fights with Ra's, left for dead at the end of 'The Climb'. Everyone think's he's dead. Laurel gets the shits and takes up the Canary mantle because he's gone, during that time they fight some cartel/dude called Brick? Team Arrow/BC and Wildcat team up and take the dude down, Ollie comes back at the end of Uprising being like "yo i'm not dead".

If that's how it goes down, it's going to tie in so well to the overall arc of
Ra's Al Ghul being the main antagonist this season, and even an archer/vigilante team-up at the culmination of this season.

She is. She was planned for only a single episode.

There's a reason that's likely:
Stephen Amell mentioned on the after show that he had 9 days off shooting, which for a lead is unheard of. He mentioned that he might have a few episodes of only flashbacks so make of that what you will. Laurel is also confirmed to first suit up as Black Canary in Episode 10. So 2-3 episodes without present day Oliver huh?

Diggle suits up

This is definitely going to be unprecedented If this is how the mid-season finale looks, but with Oliver instead of Bruce, people are gonna lose their minds.

Also, if Dig doesn't suit up as GA to try and do a whole "The Arrow can be anyone" thing, that's going to be even more good. Or, if he gets his own suit. I don't mind either way.

Holy fuck, if this is what they do, the weakness of the beginning of this season is totally worth that kind of pay-off. Christ, that'd be fantastic. An Arrow riff on one of the greatest scenes in modern comic film history?

Fuck. Please have that be it. All my Nolan and MGS dialogues have been leading to this moment.

Everything would work out perfectly.
Diggle as Arrow, Roy as Arsenal, and Laurel as Black Canary, all filling in for Ollie as he tries to survive and come back. Meanwhile, Brick attempts to seize control of the city.

Fuck I'm hyperventilating now please be true please

The hype is real.

Zero said it too, with
Stephen saying on the after show that he had 9 days off shooting (which coincidentally happened the same time as these two photos, as well as a few episodes of flashbacks.
