So now the question is, with my GTX 770 and i7-4770k, do I go PC ($48) or Xbox One ($40) for AC: Unity.

pc will deliver at worst 900p stable 30 given first impressions . Imo 8$ worth no framerate drops

You're getting my hopes up. ;_; Hope this will be true for me as well.
My PC can probably handle it what with my new GTX 970 but honestly F ubisoft. IF i even bother with the game i'll probably get it for the PS4. When it comes to PC games if i cant get it on steam (or even if i can but i have to sign up for another service like UPlay) i say screw it and go console. Going to do the same thing for Dragon Age Inq and go PS4 for that. Witcher 3 will be PC for me though

I have a feeling that they require you to restart the game to change the textures, similar to watch_dogs
3 shots of the game maxed out with 4x MSAA.

With the hardware he has its suppose to hit acceptable performance for a PC port.
A 780 and i7 2600K is more than enough for more than decent performance.

eh, it had a hard time hitting 30fps on consoles at 900p. i wouldnt call not hitting a consistent 60fps on pc shit optimization. it just means its beyond current hw and ubisoft wanted an uber lighting engine.

Oh come on. He had on TXAA + that uber taxing shadow option which just destroys FPS. As far as I can tell, without those, the game runs fine.

He IS. He's getting 55-60 FPS with FXAA at 1080p on max (minus PCSS shadows) Vs the PS4's 900p ugly as sin (check out the screenie above) presentation, NOT at PC maxed settings and 30 FPS WITH drops.
What do you want? 144 FPS with super sampling?
This shit is getting beyond ridiculous.
