I can! I love over the top sex appeal. While I have no issue with people who don't like it I take umbrage, serious umbrage *shakes fist* with anyone who shames sex appeal while trying to convince game devs (or any artist) to stop. This happens all too often now. I like my booty art~
To be fair, I also dislike people who try to attack and prevent any content from releasing on the grounds that they "don't like it". This includes gay characters which seems to be a common target now.

Are games required to be realistic now? I certainly wouldn't want that. That's the joy of art and entertainment. I can look at super sexy women and men. I can fight dragons and survive deadly feats with ease. I can take punches in a martial arts game without puking after the first punch.
Bouncing boobs and sexy outfits are some of the most realistic things in games because they exist. I see lots of accurate cosplayers. I don't see very many accurate Mortal Kombat bouts in the real world.
I'd like to see a realistic Mortal Kombat where fights end after the first broken bone, actually~

thanks for putting words in my mouth. I can't take a game seriously, when body parts move like jello. You might as well just have a game were someone gets punched they bounce off walls like rubber balls, and when you kill someone, they lay on the floor and it takes them 5 mins to die all while grunting while bleeding to death.

Sorry, didn't mean to make it sound like I was putting words in your mouth. I've just had so many discussions that start with "it' not realistic" that end with " you're sexist if you like it".
I don't see how having bouncing breasts in a game is like 5 minutes of bleeding to death on a floor, though. Lots of games have ridiculous rag-doll physics that people enjoy, that seems pretty close to bodies bouncing around.

I don't really care one way or another about fanservice, but what I don't understand is why some think that not doing fanservice means intentionally making aesthetically unappealing characters. There are many ways to do a character that isn't sexualized or even a "good-looking type" character but still make them aesthetically cool/stylish and suited to the art style of the game world.
What else I don't understand is people with the mentality that they are victimized because they don't like a product? What? That makes no sense.

This. You can simultaneously be turned off by it, and at the same time not shame people who happen to enjoy it. "but these sexy characters are created by men, for men" So fucking what. As a male, mission accomplished. Do my tastes just mean jack shit because i'm a male? It doesn't make any of us bad people. Some people's idea of what's sexy may just be small boobs, no ass, and a cute face(Elena from UC for example). Plenty of those characters in video games as well. Only thing is that if that's your preference you aren't shamed about it.
