Audiosurf on Steam NOW! Feel the waves.

it's almost too easy to make money from steam now...

as long as you have a good game to start out with, at least

Doesn't seem like the OST will be available separately (i.e. MP3s you can extract). Sounds like it is integrated into the game. Oh well...still a great deal.

I just wondered, because it's not even available yet for the puplic.
Ah, yeah. Well, on the SteamWorks page, it says you can contact them in the meantime for more information. I assume that's how the Audiosurf guys managed to get their hands on it.

Does this game support FLAC? Though I never tried any FLAC files, the beta said it was supported, but the website doesn't.
The FAQ on the Audiosurf site says yes.

I have preordered but i don't even know what this game does.
Please link me to some awesome youtubes

just type in Audiosurf into YouTube search.

I was waiting patiently for a release date for this ever since the beta. This is amazing news and hopefully alot of people that didn't get a chance to try the beta will pick this up and try it.

Day 1 for me! Friday can't come soon enough!

I'm more confused after watching the YouTube videos, anyone care to write a small description?

Also, does this work under Wine on a Mac?

It's a "match 3" puzzle game, except the levels/blocks are placed and designed in sync with music. You can use any of your MP3s, CDs, and a few other music formats. The result is a very synesthesiac puzzle game experience. Lots of visual representation of the music. The levels also build up and drop accordingly to the song, for songs with complex rhythms there's lots of stop/starting and dips in the road making it just very exciting to play with your favorite music.

Just pre-loaded the game. The MP3s are in a separate folder. But i can't open them... i think they are encrypted right now

And as you can see by some of the videos theres another mode called "mono" where you just avoid grey blocks and run over only the colored blocks. Theres different difficulty levels for each so theres no need to worry about it being too easy. I like the mono modes the most.

Alright, I used cygwin (god I love bash) to compile a list of all the songs listed in the pre-loaded directories:

Hey guys, I have a new-to-Steam question or two after getting signed up and pre-buying Audiosurf.

My PC is, uhm...not ideal for gaming. Of course I can read Req. Specs and such, but does Steam have some kind of failsafe that will prevent me from purchasing/downloading a game that won't run on my PC?

Afraid not. Double and triple check. That said this game's requirements really are not high at all.

Hell yeah. This game is easily worth $9. It'll be the best $9 spent on a game.

Do the safe thing and wait till Friday to download the demo for free. If your system can run it fine (even in low settings) then grab it.

I won't buy it...... yet. But the only reason is that I'm a Euro and don't have a CC.

And for the people who say PayPal, I don't like their new policy that you need to link your bank account to PP. I just want to be able to transfer some money to PP with no strings attached

Seriously. GAF buys shitty map packs and 15 year old ROMs for the same amount of money as this.

BUY IT NOW.

Yeah, seriously. This game is pure crack.

Does the game have an icon in steam? Mine seems to be blank :lol . But now pre-loaded and waiting. This game was addictive back in the beta, so much fucking fun.

I want to try this with my game pad, the mechanic seems like it'd work well with one.

Who knows, maybe this will even make it on to the console DD networks some day.

The game works perfectly (no mapping necessary) with the X360 pad.

Just listed something on ebay in a 1 day BIN listing to get some money in paypal for this. As soon as that sells this is totally preordered.

Hell yes, totally bought. This is gonna be great for killing time on breaks at school...or killing time during classes.

Awesome game definitely support this game and at such a cheap pre-order price its too good to pass up I can't wait for Friday
