He said he used them because the Chitauri are significantly less complicated to explain and work better for a one-off appearance. There's a lot that goes on with the Skrulls involving their shapeshifting abilities and their war with Kree and everything. It was beyond the scope of what the movie was trying to do and he didn't consider them expendable in that way.

Yeah, Avengers & The X-Men is a really spoilery title and the tagline (Starring Hugh Jackman as Wolverine) is bound to make people mad. I'm glad that it isn't going to be made known in the public until after Infinity Wars. Can't wait to see people's reactions.

"Part 2" was a bit of a misnomer. It was always Avengers 3 & 4, rather than a two-part film, they just have a stronger narrative connection than usual.

It's a spoiler because it basically tells you the outcome of the next avengers movie.
Eh, I'd disagree on this one.
We've known for years that the big Avengers finale was going to be about Thanos and the Infinity Gauntlet.
When they decided to split it into two movies, I feel like simple logic should tell people that part 1 would be getting the stones together and part 2 would be Thanos with the Gauntlet.
This is all the spoiler you would need, Mahvel, to bring comic nerds to their knees post-Phase 3.
