This is the standard procedure whenever anybody makes "ban me" post. They get mercilessly mocked for several pages giving them the attention they wanted and as a lesson to others not to do this as it's no longer October 2017.

My advice to the OP: If you can't accept different opinions, so you may reconsider not joining in any other internet forum. Don't matter if you're left or right, will happen everytime you disagree with other member over and over again.

What I don't understand is why people need to announce if they want leave the site!!? I used to be in Gamespot's forum but I just got sick of all that system wars BS in there and I just left and My account still there but I just stopped visiting, simple as that.

I think the point is that they do want to create a spectacle when they do these threads. They want the attention, and people coming in throwing witty insults is still attention.

It's because some of these console warrior accounts get left alone so they keep spewing their same garbage again and again. Posters like me just want to read topics without some asshole who clearly has no interest in a certain company to begin with starting some shit. I'm all for different opinions but "Switch/Xbox One/PS4 is shit" or "This game made by company is shit" is not valid criticism if you just say that and that alone. These posters know full well what they are trying to do since they do it in every thread. Okay we get it you don't like a certain game console or it's games now fuck off.

I think this forum is light years ahead of what it became before 2017. That being said I have to say that whichever moderator added the avatar tag, thats not cool. You are just poking the bear. Thats what they do as far as I know at Resetera, dont want this forum to turn into the same toxic waste. I skimmed the thread when it was first created. I don't know how far it escalated. I saw it was about a creepy game, I nodded to some criticisms, though maybe the op went a bit too far later on in the discussion? I really can't recall and I didn't pay attention to the updates. I still think that the tag shaming of the fascist sjw era should be left in the past.

Why are you so defensive about the whole left thing? What does it matter if some people on the left shit on Trump? I'm left leaning and I also hate that blanket statement shit. Now what? The left is such a wide term and most sane people denounce the crazy far left. That doesn't mean I'm gonna applause everything on the other spectrum though.
It might come as a shock but not everything is black and white.
