Is it negative? It didn't really matter in the first game, I just don't see anything different here. It's the same theme. That "skinny" dude on the left is buff as fuck and doesn't look different than some of the "less huge" dudes in their first game. It's still ultra-buff dudes everywhere.

First time posting itt, let me just say HOLY WOW BATMAN :D This game looks to be amazing, I'm so glad it got delayed because I know they will get everything right.

AA was so good, I can't even imagine how good this will be.

Yup him and Joker both looked about as good as I could have hoped for. I love that over the top animated style.
 
Harley Quinn looks a bit young to me. I think I prefer her Arkham Asylum look.

Two-Face looks awesome.

I don't care for Catwoman, but then I don't like her as a character in the comics, so that was bound to be the case.

I'm diggin his look too. The only thing I would change for Two-Face to make him complete IMO is to have sparse white hair on his burned side. Game looks sex. Day 0.

i hope the 460 can pull off something like those screen shots :o
 
Looks great, but not a big fan of that Catwoman design, if that is Catwoman. She looks more like a whacked out Batgirl.

They varied a little less; I don't really remember any thugs as thick as the guy on the right either. I'm just saying the art style is very obviously exactly the same when it comes to the "ALMOST ALL MEN OF GOTHAM ARE RIPPED AS FUCK" motif. There's no way around it, like it or not it is part of their design.

To be honest these screenshots are pretty much godlike for me and this game can't come out fast enough. The only thing about this batch of screens that worries me is that there are a couple of "detective mode" shots and they look really similar to AA's "detective mode" - very blue and x-ray-ish. I'd heard that they've made it so you are less inclined to be in this mode, but seeing a shot of that mode where Batman is clearly in combat makes me wonder how they accomplish that goal.

Yeah, I think Batman AA is the only game this gen where after finishing it I said to myself "I need to play that again. Now." Well, that and maybe Gears.
 
Why does Harley look like 16 year old trailer trash? Geez tattoos are lame.

Oh well, the character models were one of my least favorite aspects of the first game and it was still one of the best games of his generation, so I'm not worried. Day one.

What is it about this game that makes you think they can pull off a similar Superman game ? I dont like the way how the Batman franchise is connected to the Superman one in the showbiz, first they wanted Tim Burton to direct Superman, now Nolan is somehow involved.. i mean, maybe they can do a good job, no doubt, but what is it about BATMAN that makes people go "GREAT THEY SHOULD DO SUPERMAN NEXT!" they´re like.. complete opposites, in this particular videogame case it would mean vastly different art style, gameplay, setting, etcetc.

Good that he's back, bad that he's trying to say this is the last time. Why, Mr. Hamill? You're finally being acknowledged and praised for something else besides being a certain guy from a series of movies, and you would want to put an END to that?! :lol

Apparently it's actually really hard for him to do this voice (physically) and now after so long, he says it is painful to do for as much voice work as is usually required for these projects.
 
I am not a fan of the lighting but overall it's nice.

I think Catwoman looks way too friendly though, but it's really more of an expression thing, the suit design is fine (goggles should be yellow tho, it would reinforce the cat feel), and Harley Quinn doesn't fit with the Joker at all anymore (she already didn't really match in the first game really). Her original design is a Jester, why make it completely different? They didn't make the designs that much different with the other characters. Here she is just unrecognizable at all.

Don't like two-face either. Looks too much inspired by the movie. They should try to keep at least the color patterns we're familiar with; blueish tint for half the face, some white streak of hair, black and white suit.

I think the Arkham City design is a lot more on the nose, considering the universe it takes place in, but I think it'd be a lot worse if she was running around in the jester costume.

I still have issues with it (the corset screams "a dude designed my outfit"), but I think it's a lot better. Harley drama aside, I have nothing but faith in Rocksteady for this game.

It's really not that difficult; she's a jester, she should have that in her design. She doesn't at all. This is really way out of line with the character's original design. And there's no reason it wouldn't look good if she was designed no differently than in the cartoon. Same designs as the cartoons but rendered with the same proportions as in this style would work fine.

The Joker's redesign was perfectly fine. They should stick to the same treatment for the other characters.
 
I can't wait for this game; Rocksteady came from nowhere with AA, flipped a genre on it's head and made one of the best games in said genre. People are in a huff over the multiplayer but given how they were able to pin-point what made the stealth genre great and then built a game around it I can't help be excited by whatever they've got planned for it.

I don't know if they needed to make Dr. Quinzell disturbingly attractive for a game character though.

they don't even look like the pc version. if anyone has noticed no one has reported these pictures except for kotaku because they are FAKE!

Finally more information on this. The games absence from this years E3 drove me nuts, but I felt confident that it would be really good.
And it does (despite Harley Quinns somewhat aged-down look). But I'm still really curious as to the whole settup of the game and how (un)limited Gotham will be.

Bring out a trailer! Come out and play, Batsy!
