Batman: The Brave And The Bold

Man, that last long break had me forget about the show. And the DVD releases are anemic at best. Speaking of, are they wide screen or full screen? And does it matter? I've caught the show in both formats, and I'm not sure which is preferred.

Though this sounds like the best thing ever:
Crossover
According to voice director Andrea Romano, a crossover between Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated and Batman: The Brave and the Bold is in the works.[10] It is based on the original Batman/Scooby Doo crossovers that occurred in The New Scooby-Doo Movies.
:lol

And there was a soundtrack released for the musical episode? Awesome.

This is my favorite Batman cartoon (I add that qualifier because of JLA/U, obviously) since The Animated Series.

And "The Last Patrol" was danged really good. Loved all the little shout-outs in the circus to Morrison's run on Doom Patrol. Too bad the show's ending soon; if we got an actual Flex Mentallo appearance I just might die. :lol

Doesn't the show still have like half a series to air? Or just about?

I know 13 episodes for season 3, and I think the last 10 or so for season 2.

Oh, I thought we'd enter Season 3 already. 23 more episodes, then? Maybe I can hold out hope. :D Heck, they hinged an episode around B'Wana Beast, so I shouldn't rule anything out.

(And that three-part episode with the Bat-Manga sounds awesome.)

Whoa there, I need to catch the fuck up with the series then. Yeah, this is the best Batman cartoon since The Animated Series. Is there any full Question episodes yet?

Actually, they did finally release a Season 1, Part 1 DVD collection at the tail end of August.

Though this sounds like the best thing ever::lol .

This is going to be awesome!

Fun Birds of Prey episode there. I think I've come to the conclusion that Brave and the Bold has the best Catwoman costume, too.

Hmm. I wonder what Huntress was implying with that line about Flash being "too fast". :lol

The whole song was more innuendo than I was expecting (but as much as I'd hoped). Plastic Man can expand, ya'll.

Ha, I've been reading the wiki and I love that Mae Whitman played Batman. Didn't know that! Knew Jeffrey Tambor was Crazy Quilt, though.

Shit, the next two episodes are gonna be awesome. Booster Gold/Ted Kord team-up, and then fucking EMPEROR JOKER. Despite not being wowed by the miniseries, it's still a great concept and should provide for a lot of off-the-wall sceranios.

EDIT: Holy moly, HENRY ROLLINS was the voice of Robotman.

That was a fun episode, capped off by the wonderful musical number.

The Birds of Prey need to be in the next Music Meister episode. :lol

I just saw the Emperor Joker episode. Wow, I didn't think they'd actually be able to show Batman dying multiple times. Some of the deaths were pretty gruesome too.

Just saw some of the episodes I missed via DVR. Doom Patrol and Emperor Joker were amazing to watch. Really wish they didn't get someone completely new for Harley Quinn. But this show is so tightly written and just FUN to watch. It seems so odd and out of place considering this is supposed to be based around the Golden/Silver Age stuff.

Can't wait to see that Birds of Prey episode, that song was slick. It's too bad my comic book infatuated sister doesn't care for this show (she just can't wrap her head around the retro-ness of it), but then we're more Marvel fans, and we both have been getting a kick out of the new season of Super Hero Squad.

Started catching up on season 2 as apparently I stopped watching after the first episode (I don't have CN).

O_O @ the Doom Patrol ep
Finished that one this morning and wow, yeah. A lot of the episodes have been pretty dark but they've maintained the levity at the same time so it's pretty nice.

Batman's newest look.

Pretty fun episode, lots of guests!

I dunno, that episode was kinda overkill for me in the "50s Campiness" department. I enjoyed the previous episode with Proto a lot more.

Yeah, that episode was pretty cool, especially with Adam West voice.

This one was very hokey.

Okay, Knights of Tomorrow was quite amazing.

Kinda pissed on the lack of Terry McGinnis or Batman Beyond though.

I liked that they paid homage to it at the end.

As a matter of fact, I saw several nods including to Morrison's run, Batman Beyond, Timmverse, Adam West, etc

Some screens for those who didn't see, courtesy of Toonzone, and I would assume spoiler is needed, but if haven't seen ep yet

Looks like Clark and Babs are Best Man/Maid of Honor, you can see Lois, Commish in the background

Ollie!

And the funeral :(

My jaw dropped when the Joker said something to the effect of "The doctor only gave me six months, and gave him six seconds." Kinda let down at the end when it was revealed the entire episode was Alfred's dark twisted fantasy though. :lol

I love how this show embraces all that is Batman. Priceless.

I really enjoy episodes like these. The campy ones are ok, but the ones that seem to have a darker tone are 10x more enjoyable to me. Especially since I grew up watching the BTAS.

Of course, one of my favorite episodes is still the Music Meister episode, and would love another one.

Heads up guys, new ep. should air this week on the 25th. Next week the BatMite ep. will also air in April =D

Just taking advantage of the bump to tell the world how much I enjoy this show. Great light-hearted superhero fun, and a great way to meet the C-list cast from the DC Universe.
