Looking great.

Thanks for the heads up! I checked this as soon as Penguin posted the site was up and was able to get tickets and let my friends know. I'm so hyped.

Got tickets. You definitely want to be there an hour early at the very least if you wanna be safe, and while that can seem kinda dumb in the long scheme of things these types of things can also be a lot of fun.

Seeing TDKR prologue in one of the most absurdly large IMAX screens I've ever seen was something else, I actually think it made a bigger impression than when I watched TDKR in full. Plus, the projectionist will probably reroll the trailer for all the geeks in the crowd and there's always the chance for free swag like posters or shirts which is frequently done for these sorts of things.

Fucking horrible. The first half is entirely from Man of Steel. lol
This teaser teaser shit is getting out of hand.

I got tickets...

The theater is about 10 minutes away.

I might go but the idea of showing up an hour early for 2.5 minutes(?) of footage that will be on the internet the next day(?) is a little insane, so we'll see...

Wait the tickets are to see the fucking teaser trailer? Really? And it is sold out in my local theater too. Is this the fucking world we are living in now?

At this point it is safe to say that none of these big studios need Comic-Con. "If you tease it, they will come." That sounds out way more dirty than I meant it too.

This movie is 75 years in the making and features the two most recognizable heroes on the planet sharing the big screen for the first time - I think people have earned the right to go nuts over it.

I'm not saying the whole notion of getting tickets just to see a trailer isn't absurd, but I can't say I'm surprised in any way that people would be all over this.

Couldn't superman just eye blast his mouth. After seeing the hulkbuster armor, this is kinda stupid.

Apparently,
Zod's armor that he scattered at the end of MoS was reverse-engineered by Batman to make a battle suit.
Which would explain how he'd be able to withstand a fight with Superman.

I've never heard of that.

Is there a source for this information?

I need at least 10 seconds of the BAffleck wrecking shit. This is either going to be the best interpretation of Batman or the corniest since George Clooney and Alicia Silverstone. We need to keep the pressure on DC to not fuck this up.

looks like the colors in the Superman's suit will be more vibrant this time

comparison shot from screenrant between the one used in MoS (bottom) and the one used for this teaser (top).

This was sometime last year during the shooting of the scene with Bruce in Metropolis. I don't recall the exact date, but they had a whole list of info.

Then again, it could be completely speculation.

I know a lot of people laud the fights in Watchmen, and I did too after my first viewing. When I came back to it, however, it's excruciatingly clear that fancy camera work, zoom edits, and slow motion are covering up what amounts to actors going in line from one point to another with constant pauses for dramatic poses (the only exception being the Comedian vs Veidt fight in the beginning, the best action scene in the movie imo). I expect there to be more than just a few similarities between the visual feel of Watchmen and a Frank Miller inspired Batman in this movie. I just hope he goes for something completely different for this movie than what he did in Watchmen. That's not to say the Watchmen fights are bad, they're definitely entertaining, but it'd be boring to see an opportunity for something new and exciting to go to waste.

I thought I was signing up for an early screening, then I saw that it was for a trailer. Get the fuck outta here. The sad part is that people will line up for hours just to see a trailer.

People paid for movie tickets to watch the Star Wars TPM trailer in Fall 1998 and leave immediately after it played.

Everything about this is just awful and comical.

They released a teaser that basically amounts to

Then they put out a teaser trailer in IMAX theaters that they expect people to drive out to and wait in line for 1-3 hours? For 2 minutes of footage?

This just makes me realize how big peoples hard on's are for superhero related material. I'm one of them, but jesus, no wonder these films make 1+ billion dollars.

But that was in a time where downloading the trailer on the internet took about an hour and looked like garbage instead of 1080p downloaded in an instant.

1999 was a different time for movie trailers.

Son it's Batman vs Superman....

The hype is real.

All I was saying is there is prescedent.

People lined up for the Bane plane sequence too as recent as a few years ago.

I know it's a teaser of a teaser, but they could show us at least a full shot of Affleck in the suit. I hope we get that and full shots of Cavil and Gadot in costume on 20th.

The one-piece rubber cowl, neck and shoulder piece isn't giving me much hope for a fast, agile, convincing on-screen Batman for once. I really need to see Snyder's Batman in action, because if he goes back to his Watchmen-style slow-mo pose-fights where nobody moves their feet I can't do it.

If they have affleck speaking in the teaser as batman, I'll lose my goddamn mind.

He didn't do that for MoS so I doubt he'll do it here.

This notion, plus my confidence in this film, is reminding me of the madness that was the Phantom Menace hype.

Meet Joe Black indirectly made a lot of money that year.

I have my doubts about WW being in the trailer this early. They'll want to play up the Batman X Superman aspect, but I have no doubt she'll appear in one of the later trailers.

Or maybe the trailer will end with a flash of WW?

Yeah, I thought MoS's action scenes were great, but choreographing a Superman scene is a whole different thing from doing one for Batman, and so far all his regular-non-flying-dude action scenes have been slow, wire-fu-y and lame. I need to see Winter-Soldier-tier or better.
