So I have a lot of room in the first dungeon with white exclamation point in those room, and there's nothing in there. The in-game manual says the icon is for dungeon event, any way to make them disappear ?
Finding the game to be pretty dam easy but maybe its because I grind for EXP and loot, however the "Fire Boss" almost kicked my ass had to use 2 revives.
Does this game scratch dat loot itch guys ? I'm in anyway on Switch, but it looked like it could scratch that loot game itch I need on my fav device right now.
Well the loot itch is all about making numbers go up, but just about every item in the game has downsides, so you're always deciding "Is getting 30 damage worth losing 200 hp?" on every piece of gear. Kind of sucks the wind out of the sails when you find new stuff.
hmm after clearing the 1st dungeon on heroic, i sold the 2 artifact things and bought the next dungeon's lootbox, didn't even get anything green rarity
apparently it's better to save it for the 1st shadow coin fishing rod? shit man hope i'm not screwed :<

Good lawd the difficulty spikes in some of the optional content are ridiculous. Thealmost one shots all of my characters. I thought it was because I was two levels behind him but then I go to fight theKing Slime thing in the sewersand that dude has an AOE that basically one shots my entire party despite my party being at the same level. Don't know if I'm just undergeared or if there's some sort of trick to all this.fire demon in the Rushlands

Bretto has a perk that makes him get overcharge when he cleanses, and cleanse is a free fast ability (I forget what the game calls them, your basic attacks and defense stances and whatnot)
Also can't decide if I want PS4 or Steam. I think PS4 just for couch lazing, I get too distracted on my PC!
Really enjoying the game!
I'm in the second dungeon at the moment. I found a ("special event/curio spoiler") MCmysterious. The riddle is as follows; (riddle spoiler)ube
"Some boxes give, this one takes, Catch it if you can, And empowerment awaits",
What do I give it? I thought about something fishing related but it seems I can only give it weapons.
Maybe an item from a similar cube, one that "gives"? "Catch it if you can" makes me think of gloves, but I'm afraid of giving the wrong thing and not getting the reward. Anybody know the right item to present to the cube?
Thanks in advance!
You can give it anything really...what happens is itll take a weapon for example, then the cube will disappear and reappear on another part of the map (same dungeon), once you find it again, it will have upgraded whatever you gave it. Turned my items purple, but not 100% sure it always spits out purple.
Man, the difficulty spiked when you reach Junk town, went in Heroic and got destroyed by fire affliction and iron golems doing over 200 damage.
Then I went back to town and did a slime sewer mission to get some experience but that final boss has about 2000 HP and does around 300-400 damage and poison affliction.
Yeah I figured out that stacks increase damage but it seems like my party was getting destroyed with even one stack on them. Made me think I was doing something wrong.Cant help with the slime, but for the fire demon all you need to do is manage your fire stacks. At 5 youll take a tone of damage. All I did was use the robots burst 1 whenever one of my guys hit 4 stacks, and I barely took any damage.
I know the game just released, but how involved is the story in this game? I like RPGs a lot, but RPGs that are light on story make me lose interest quick. Trying to figure this out before making the decision to purchase as to not be let down.

I'd say it's servicable, and pretty simple. The interaction between the characters is kinda cute though, and I'd say the PC's and NPC's have personality, and most importantly - the game oozes with style.
This game does so many other things incredibly well. I'm not bothering with paying attention to the story very much. If a good story is the most important draw to you, this might not be for you. If a fresh take on turn based combat combined with a smorgasbord of well-crafted RPG-elements sounds enticing, I'd say go for it. I'm only about 7 hours into the game - so maybe someone who has played a larger portion of the game can chime in.
edit: Sorry for all the questions but I've got three more.
1) Should I sell all unused weapons/armor or am I going to be able to disassemble them for crafting parts at some point? I'm lvl 10 if that matters.
2) What vendor would you advice me on upgrading first? Blacksmith, maybe the alchemist?
3) Greater tome of knowledge. "Grants a single perk point to all heroes" Should I save these until I unlock all companions to get perks for them all? At the moment I am in the second dungeon, and only have 3 heroes.
Again, sorry for all the questions. Cheers guys!
Was thinking the exact same thing last night. I seek them out on maps just to hear it again.Anyone else find the sound of a dying slime extremely satisfying in this game?

Something about that bubbling gurgling sound is oddly unique... Lol!
- You can sell unused weapons/armor
- Blacksmith first, I think. Pretty sure you can max the blacksmith out and get crafting in town (rather than having to do it in a dungeon) with just money, whereas I'm pretty sure the other places require items.
- Can't say for sure, but it wouldn't hurt to save them. You'll round your party out soon, and early perks aren't that big of a deal.
Tip time!
- Enchanting is awesome. Get the books, use more materials than required, get a hefty bonus to your gear. Crafting is terrible, enchanting is great.
- Overworld shrines gives combat bonuses: always go pick one up before going into a dungeon.
- Food buffs last multiple fights. The passive regen ones help a LOT.
- Mana potions are a QOL feature for dungeons. Probably the only potion type you want to craft a bunch of whenever you can.
- Use your coins to buy uber fishing gear. Trade the fish you catch for coins when you find the fishersharkman. Profit.
- There are some rare but powerful events you encounter in dungeons that should not be wasted. Learn to recognize which ones do what. You see a big magic cube? you just scored a gear upgrade, mister.
- Don't be afraid to try heroic version of dungeons. Better loot, and the difficulty jump is minor. Plus there's no additional penalty.
- Walls that "shake" (and spill dust) in dungeons can be broken.
Second dungeon complete (on heroic as well).
Currently level 10. Should I go do the main story () or do the sewers side quest next? Anyone know the levels of each area?Junktown
P.S. - The "defeat 100 enemies in dungeon" battle perk is really annoying.
Second dungeon complete (on heroic as well).
Crafting for me has been completely useless so far as I don't even have items for stuff that is 3-4 levels below my level.

I think there are two sewers quests. The first one you can probably do at 10, the second one culminates in the, which can be pretty hard. Worth a shot though! Dying doesn't cost much.level 12 Slime hunt
Are you on PC? Thanks to CE and speed hack you can grind through the "defeat 100 enemies" really fast.
How do you replenish Dungeon Skills?
Exentryk said:Yeah, I'm already using the speed hack mapped to a shortcut button on the controller. I'd rather edit the value of enemies defeated in the dungeon directly via cheat engine than waste time fighting 30-40 more encounters -.-
Guess I will wait for the balance patch for end game stuff, difficulty spike etc...not that I would play on Heroic or anything, probably on normal, but the PS4 crashes on Pro and all...
Sucks but backlog and all makes it less painful.
