Kind of went back and forth on the beta but ended up really enjoying it in the end. Teammates were incredibly dumb at first (probably came from CoD) but it eventually felt great when people started to play as a team. Not sure if SBMM kicked in or what.

Hopefully the campaign delivers. Also really excited for the BR whenever it launches.

The info from people who have early copies is interesting to say the least. Apparently Saints Quarters is even more of a CoD map than Empire State, so much so that it doesn't even support Conquest or Breakthrough.

This has been known for ages thats its an infantry only CQC map.

Pretty obvious they are trying to cater to more players. It would also be silly to support 6v6 on Firestorm.

The more successful the game is the better it will be for everyone in the long run.
 
As a long time fan that is easy to please I'm hyped and ready. I even upgraded my GPU.

I hope my usual play pals are willing to buy soon. They seem to be waiting to see how the launch goes.
 
I dont remember a Battlefield this hyped since BF3, this might a big one.
The timing of it is just right.
enjoy it cus these moments are rare in gaming

I really enjoyed the beta and looking forward to this.

I love a good Battlefield game and it's been too long. 2042 was a steaming pile of shit.

Now you listen to me, this game is the GOAT, okay? It's the greatest Battlefield ever made by humans, If it doesn't comfortably break every single sales and critic record set by franchise performer BF1, then the blame lies with EA marketing directly, NOT with the devs. This game is perfect, you hear me, it's perfect!

Seems like a pretty decent amount to me. Plus another large map and another medium sized one within a month of launch makes the count 11.

Aside from that Tiny New York map and issues with snipers on Liberation peak I enjoyed the beta maps.
 
We'll see how well BF sells and gets reviewed.

Every BF game gets hyped up as the COD killer. Never happened yet. And the last few BFs were lousy too. BF1 was solid. I would had played it a lot more but the game had major lobby/party disconnects so all of us bailed on playing. The game not only had shoddy parties but the game would boot us out to the dashboard. So we all gave up.

Changed my mind on all that stupid boomer shit, it would just make the game boring and lame, who the hell wants that? A marooned drunken one eyed 18th century peasant sailor should reasonably be able to outsell BF1 with this beast of a product, maybe even BO7, it would be an abysmal failure in all of entertainment marketing if they willingly allowed this gem to slip.
 
at least from what I have seen they have a decent level of none MTX customisation for weapons, it appears gun skins are unlocked on a per weapon basis via mastery but you can then use that unlocked camo for all the other weapons, so instead of 2042's shitty individual weird blue and then red camo you got by playing with that specific weapon which then only works for that weapon, your reward for doing the same here is a camo for every weapon in the game, pretty neat change.

obviously there's models in the game files that have leaked prior which are not shown here in the earnable camo's iv seen popping up in the early owners playing it, these looked more unique so suspect those will be MTX store or perhaps tied to the battle pass, but a solid win for players who just want to buy the game and still have plenty of customisation options. Also suggests when new guns are added to the game they will get a new unique camo for mastery the player can then use across their existing arsenal, which is nice.

Definitely playing this first, it's tradition for me but also you apparently earn rewards and possibly xp by playing the campaign.

Never been a fan of starting multiplayer games with default classes and no unlocks, even in Cod I usually play zombies for a couple of hours to get some things unlocked.

Yep, game is launching with 8 maps for me. Maybe 7 if Empire State still sucks :messenger_grinning_smiling:

Here's hoping the big maps are really good and make up for it

not much i can do about that, so hopefully patch is out now so come friday i can just log in and lock in for the next 12hrs

I've just replayed basically most COD campaigns from 4 to pre reboot and then BF3 and 4 in the last 1,5 year or so.
Now for some reason BF campaigns took more shit for existing.. but well they were perfectly alright to revisit, and on the other hand I will just as quickly forget 90% of the COD stuff as well.
At the end of the day it can be fun and I rather have a campaign than not, even if it is still clear that none of these BF games will be remembered for that, and that is just fine.

3's campaign had some really good moments. If this one is on par with that I'll be happy.
