A lot of these Japanese companies are taking a risk-adverse path to this generation with cheap, high margin remasters.
Bayonetta 1 would be a good target for Sega to port PC/PS4/XBO. Platinum has been hinting at a Vanquish PC port lately, which would also be a Sega partnership.

Emulation isn't something for desperate people. It's a matter of preservation and understanding the hardware. Bayonetta 2 is just an example of the HUGE progress Cemu has made in just around a year - Mario Kart 8 and Mario 3D World run full speed on my PC. And yes, I have a Wii U.
But of course, trying to discuss emulation on GAF is like trying to discuss Brazzers in a church.

Not really the same thing at all. Nintendo is not putting one of their games on Xbox One or Ps4 period.
NX ultimate is the only hope for people who want to play the game but don't want to buy a WiiU

Huh? The Wii U emulator is coming a long nicely. People like to document how different games are progressing. I'm not getting where desperate comes into play. It'll be a long time before CEMU is a Wii U replacement option.

What the hell are you even talking about? It's called emulation; people have been doing it for decades.
From what I've seen, the various emulator OTs have been pretty good. Don't let a few ignorant people ruin it for you.
To be fair, someone yesterday (not here) was telling me that I don't need to own a Wii U now that an emulator exists and I should just build a PC. I agree that emulation needs to exist for the very reason you said, but there are quite a few people who don't understand that concept.

I can see Bayo being so highly voted turning out to be something of a waking-up call regarding the franchise's significance. I doubt they'd have put out that Bayo2 reprint without it.
I own a Wii U, both Bayonetta games and I'm still in line for the port. Mostly because screw Wii U.

I shouldn't be, but I am honestly surprised by the thick smell of desperation and piss soiling this thread. I really thought people got over Bayonetta 2, and yet the slightest non-hint triggered an avalanche of port begging and emotional fragility.
I have the 360, PS3 and Wii U versions of Bayo 1 and the Wii U version of Bayo 2. I'd bet that the people that want these games ported the most already own them on at least one other platform like the Wii U.
And even if it was ported, nobody would buy it and it would end up as a 5-10 Euro game again.
What a ridiculous thing to say.
A dead console - just like the SNES, PS1, Mega Drive, PS2. Who gives a shit? The Wii U has a small but fantastic library of games and you can buy the console preowned for dirt cheap now.
Going around saying herp derp dead console lol no games lol is just pathetic.

To be honest, I love watching people port beg for Bayo 2.
That's a bit harsh. If the library thus far hasn't lured you in there's like... Zelda left to go as a big draw. The console is basically on life support at this point. I bought a Wii U primarily for Platinum games, but that's not going to fly for everyone.
But...there's an entire library of games to play.
It's like saying "well I've never played a GameCube game before, but the console is dead so lol I guess I shouldn't ever get one!!!"
It's insane logic. I never owned a PC Engine. Should I just not bother ever buying one because it's a dead console?

I could at the very least understand people asking for an NX port since that is the most likely case (though premature since we don't know exactly what the NX is or if ports aren't already planned) but considering Bayo 2's situation, it's a real exercise in futility begging for that game on anything but another Nintendo platform, not to mention doing it years after the fact in response to a Twitch stream. The hurt feelings about it still being on Wii U are just asinine though.

I don't know. Nintendo allowed to put their IP-related clothing into this M-rated action game. Sales wise, Nintendo may not have expected much, but they are definitely weighing in the game.

I'm not following this train of logic where you try and use literally dead consoles to make the case the Wii U isn't dead, which is the point you were contesting. If you are arguing that people shouldn't ignore consoles just because they are dead, then that is a different topic. The mindset of a collector is completely different than a gamer. There are more games coming out than anyone could ever play. Buying obsolete systems to play old games isn't for everyone.
