I don't see any positive progression with either Hillary or Trump. To top it off, theyre both dishonest pieces of shit, in my opinion. At least with Trump I believe there will be a possibility of chaos that might change the election process in a positive way before the next cycle. Maybe by then we can get some real candidates in the running. But who knows.
And how many people will it destroy in the process? I'll start off: Trump doesnt have a healthcare plan. Whatever he wants to replace Obamacare with will take 18 million people off the insured list.

That's not how it works! God, the last time the Democrats lost heavily with Reagan and Bush Sr. they went right and the GOP went even more right. The GOP itself has adopted a lot of Trump's ideas into their platform. A Trump victory also ensures that the Supreme Court will be right winged for decades, prolonging the oppression of minorities for decades and likely making it worse too. Trump winning is going to halt progress and even regress us, your next candidates are going to be a center-right Democrat and a far right Republican if it happens.

There are things I'm not OK with in both candidates. Is Trump really racist? I don't know. The media says he is, right? I guess there's some older quotes, and possibly other hard evidence. I think there may be some for Hillary too.

Really? Fucking really? In the speech that launched his campaign, Trump called Mexicans rapists and murderers. In Clinton's first campaign speech, she called on the dire racial injustice in America. There is absolutely 0 doubt, by any standard, that Trump is a racist piece of shit.

There are none for Clinton and dozens and dozens of sexist, racist, bigoted quotes from Trump.

I knew posting anything anti-Hillary would get me heat in this forum. Just threw my opinion out there and I'll continue to drown in the hate until I can vanish back into my semi-lurking stasis.

I don't hate any one.

Well since you haven't posted on why you dislike Hilary, so your post more anti establishment.

I was under the impression he called most of the illegal immigrants bad seeds of some sort, and not the entire ethnic group? Care to dig up the entire quote?

Can you find me any quotes about Trump praising BLM or hell, any kind of minority or LGBT movement?

If the media is lying about him then this should be easy to find.

I don't really care if you hate Hillary. People are giving you shit because you're SUPPORTING TRUMP. And this fantasy about upending America. Who do you think will be the first victims in such a scenario? Minorities. LGBTQ peoples. Women. The Lower Class. Literally everyone Bernie worked hard to become president so he could change their lives for the better.

Oh for fuck! NO! Alright, I had enough of this fucking garbage! This isn't about anti-Hillary, this is about pro-Trump! Your opinion is toxic because it endangers the lives of many because you didn't get your way. Trump as president would effectively kill me based on the current GOP platform because I'm trans and bisexual and my partner is hispanic who looks a bit middle eastern. Everything crazy about Trump is being adopted by the GOP, the party that controls the Senate, the House, most governorships, and I'll be damn if they get the executive branch and the judicial branch. They'll have complete power and there we be nothing short of a complete violent revolution to stop them. If that happens, I will blame people like you with your crybaby anarchist behavior over petty shit.

I think she's irresponsible, dishonest, will absolutely cater to big money interests, Benghazi, for the Trans-Pacific Partnership no matter what she claims, and more.

And Trump caters to racist, and bigots. His supporters are KKK members as well as other white supremacists groups.

I understand if you dislike Hilary, and I ain't gonna give you shit for it, but to say you rather Trump win makes me think you're lacking some perspective.

I understand the state of the Supreme Court would be fucked, I just can't vote for Hillary. I'd rather aim for the possibility of a revolution to change things rather than keep the slow bleeding.

Listen, I'm all for the LGBT community. I have always supported them. And I'm not Pro Trump, even if Amit-Hillary points me in that direction. I'm more political revolution. Shock and disgust for who we have in office. Hillary just hides her ugliness better.

Hell, not too long ago Hillary opposed gay rights. Then flippity flip.

I love how trumpers just ignore all the damage he could do, in the hopes that somehow, in some un described way, he causing some sort of improvement in 'the process'.

Real life doesn't work like that.

And that alone is more than enough reason to not support Trump.

If you don't understand the effect a right leaning Supreme Court can have for the next 20 years, you really do not care about LGBT rights at all.

Hell, not too long ago Hillary opposed gay rights. Then flippity flip.

Many people opposed gay rights. The important thing is that they're supporting gay rights now, in the present while also working towards making lives better for LGBT.

It's up to us, to help preserve those rights and freedoms once they've been obtained, and I one way to do that is to make sure Trump isn't in office.

You support LGBT, but you're fine with letting the Supreme Court get conservative judges which will ban same-sex marriages and a lot more. You understand how this isn't supporting them, right. We're going to be heavily discriminated and worse with the GOP controlling everything, including the Supreme Court. That's going to halt progress for decades.

Give me examples of Hillary saying/doing things as racist as what trump has said and done.

Let me lay it out for you why your argument falls flat to those of us that are sane: There is no criticism you can make of Hillary that doesn't also apply to Trump AT LEAST as much as it applies to Hillary.

You say that Hillary is a liar? Trump has managed to, in the span of 1 and half years, make more lies than Hillary has ever made in the entire span of her political career.

You say that Hillary is a war monger? Trump has said that he wants to target families of terrorists AND won't rule out using fucking NUKES.

You say that Hillary has flip-flopped? Trump can't even stay consistent in the same fucking speech.

You say that Hillary is bought by Wall Street and other big interests? Trump IS one of those "big interests" and the only reason that Trump hasn't gotten the corporate backing that Romney got is because of how toxic Trump has been that even business types are wary of backing him.

Now let's look at the criticisms one can make of Trump that you can't say about Hillary:

- Trump has run a campaign on blatant bigotry against Muslims

- Trump has run a campaign on blatant bigotry against Hispanics

- Trump has used his wealth to buy newspaper space so that he could demand that 5 innocent minorities be executed

- Trump has advocated for numerous war crimes

- Trump has made fun of someone's disability

- Trump has attacked a former POW for the fact that they got captured

- Trump has advocated for violence on protesters at his rallies

- Trump has used a national tragedy to congratulate himself on "being right"

- Trump has pretended he didn't know who David Duke was (he did know) to avoid condemning a white supremacist

- Trump has made numerous mysoginistic comments, including that one time he managed to make a mysoginistic comment to attack Romney ("on your knees")

- Trump has said that he would use libel laws to suppress any criticism he gets from the press

So if after all that you still pick Trump, then the conclusions we can make about you narrow down to one or more of the following:

- You are a bigot.

- You are an idiot in general.

- You have no understanding of how politics works.

- You care less about actual policy than you care about impressions.

- You care less about minority groups than you care about economics.

- You would rather vote like an idiot than admit you were wrong about Hillary.

Trump said:
When Mexico sends its people, they're not sending their best. They're not sending you. They're not sending you. They're sending people that have lots of problems, and they're bringing those problems with us. They're bringing drugs. They're bringing crime. They're rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.

Some bonus quotes:
[The Mexican government] send the bad ones over, because they don't want to pay for them, they don't want to take care of them. Why should they, when the stupid leaders of the United States will do it for 'me?"

Trump, after some of his supporters assauled a latino at his rally:
I will say that people who are following me are very passionate. They love this country and they want this country to be great again. They are passionate. I will say that, and everybody here has reported it.

And that's just about latinos. Trump goes beyond dog whistles and goes strain into dull blown racist area.

Also, I didn't say that all of those conclusions apply to you. I said that 1 or more of those conclusions applies to you IF YOU ACTUALLY VOTE TRUMP.

I don't blame him. That's a long list of insults to fling somebody just because they aren't a Hillary supporter.

I obviously haven't contributed anything good to the thread, so I'll go now. Deal?

I like how TYT think they are major players and that "The Establishment" monitors and cares what they say.

Like it or not they are the biggest online news show.

Have you heard of democracy spring or Wolfpac? Their influence far beyond news..

If you or the establishment are not paying attention it's at their peril.

It's not like tyt is anything particularly special. They are just filling a void.
I think she's irresponsible, dishonest, will absolutely cater to big money interests, Benghazi, for the Trans-Pacific Partnership no matter what she claims, and more.

I agree with 4/5 here BUT Trump is pretty much worse on all issues overall plus all the extra risk. You can't say you believe Hillary is a liar but Trump is an honest populist.

I don't see any positive progression with either Hillary or Trump.

If Clinton can implement just the public option - which gets us one step away from Medicare for all (effectively Single Payer healthcare) - then that's more progress than I see in all of Trump's positions. As a matter of fact, I know fuckall about Trump's position because he's not really that clear. IF he wants to try and get my vote, he needs to do better. I don't care about the childish back and forth name calling, I care about policies and outside his tax plan and reshoring plans, I haven't seen much of anything from him.

To top it off, theyre both dishonest pieces of shit, in my opinion.

True. One is a criminal, demagogue liar, the other is a racist, mysoginist, xenophobic, homophobic liar.

At least with Trump I believe there will be a possibility of chaos that might change the election process in a positive way before the next cycle.

I think there will be chaos, yes, maybe we'll get a real life The Walking Dead / The Last of Us situation.

I am not a Clinton fan, and my post history will show you that. I actually dislike her quite a bit and will have to see if she'll flip flop again in the general before deciding if I'll vote for her.

You don't have to be a Hillary supporter, but if you're a Trump supporter then that means you condone all of those things. That you're OK with everything from the racism to the war crimes. That none of that is too far for you. That you're willing to support a guy that will say or do any of that says a lot about you as a person, if you support Trump

Cry me a bloody river. I don't like Clinton that much, but I know what's at stake and I'm not going to risk it because I don't like her. I'm not going to hope for her defeat over lesser things when I know full well what happens to me and other minorities if Trump wins.
