Best Samus/Metroid fanart ever--what a Metroid movie might look like

These beat out the bloodied Samus pics from the IGN coloring contest a few years back as my favorite Metroid fanart ever. They make me hard for MP3. If they ever adapt Metroid into a movie the producers would be crazy not to hire this guy for the concept art/design team. Retro too. I love the detail and atmosphere.

Please post any other superior Metroid artwork you find!

The detail is really nice... but she looks a little too ... pretty to be Samus.

Looks like she's wearing some makeup, and her hair is too long to fit in the helmet.

Very nicely done, but she really does look too young/girly to be doing what Samus does...

And yeah, why is the suit bleeding all over?

Still, nice...

Wicked old, but...

I always liked this armor design. Here's another one by the same artist.

That guy (OP's pic's artist) used to do some good stuff on the Orochinagi forums I used to post on back in the days (3 or 4 years ago?)

As good as they are, I do prefer that design posted below with the mech styled suit.
I also second that they never make a Metroid film!

Some clever beasty identified the pic painted over for Samus' face:

Still an impressive pic nonetheless. Wonder what model he chose for the other pic! Porn scavenge hunt goooo?

Yeah...I'm not really digging the OP's Samus...

The Chozo Suit as a sort of Mech is kinda cool, though...

It's really well done, but I'm not really a fan of interpreting Samus as a supermodel. It just seems a little forced to me.

Some of you haven't seen MP2 or Fusion's ending. Retro and IS both portrayed her as such.

Which is weird, because Retro actually had a pretty nice version of Samus at the end of Metroid Prime.

he needs to take some anatomy classes. wtf at the legs being triple the length of the body
That's a reinterpretation of the suit as a larger mech design, the open one gives a better idea.

I always think that samus art always has her too clean. It must get sweaty and dirty in there + she gets bashed around a lot so there must be the odd brusing. This is a woman that kills stuff for a living. Yet she always come out looking all clean ms teen usa.

That one's awesome.
It's sort of awkward. Pretty, but not really Samus. I mean you have the basic outline of the suit (shellderpads), and then the nakedness (the face is off), then the skeleton (she's missing a thumb) and it's sort of teleporting (she looks ready to fall apart).

The one with the ravaged suit is gorgeous.

Said portrayals are teh suck.
It all started with Super Metroid. It's nothing new really, but as a huge Metroid fan I don't really care about how see looks at the end anyway.
