We'll finally be able to see that naughty tattoo Amy gets on Futurama, but the technology is too advanced to be viewed and processed by our current eyes

Add thermal vision and I'm there.

You can already get thermal... temporary. Or is it night vision? Either way you get it jammed into your eyeballs like this method currently which is NONONONONO to me.

Now if they replaced your eyes or gave you Jensen-like glasses with enhancements? Maybe.

Waaait, i thought they replaced your whole eyeball. ? .......... huh

Yes i'm an idiot for thinking that, don't know what to tell you gaf

Oh man, having had bad eyes since I was in at least 2nd grade I say sign me up! I was slowly warming up to the idea of laser eye surgery but this sounds fucking amazing.

I need this in my life.

I already have better than 20/20. So much so, doctors studied my eyes for a bit a while back when I went through a stretch of frequently scratching my corneas.

Get on my level.

I had better than 20/10 before laser surgery and now around 20/20. I miss the clarity so I would be up for this. I would be worried about floaters though. Implants tend to increase the likelihood of them and I already have a bunch. If someone could fix the floater problem I would be day one for the bionic lens.... would need new 8k tv and monitor tho.

Pending clinical trials on animals and then blind human eyes, the Bionic Lens could be available in Canada and elsewhere in about two years, depending on regulatory processes in various countries, Webb says.

lol. clinical trials take forever unless something is fast tracked. this is 5-7 years away at the earliest.

Damn floaters. I got them too.

Oh man, I am all over this. Tired of glasses and contacts just don't work well for me.

I hope these are safe and reliable in 10 years. That's about when I figure I'll be in the market.

Our eyesights will be so good that we'll be able to see ghosts, which will eventually turn us crazy cause there is so many of them.

Fuck it, I'm in.

My laser eye surgery is turning seven this year, and while I'm still able to see right, I wouldn't mind a damn 200x zoom or whatever.

Read title as Bionic Legs and was super confused and thought it was about someone with a bionic prosthetic leg accidentally getting super sight.

As someone who needs glasses all the time and can't see well at all without them this sounds super exciting.

I want this so badly. My eyesight has been in decline for years due to and incompetent optometrist giving me glasses that had only one lens actually prescribed.

I have terrible eye sight, but I'm still gonna say no thanks. I imagine if you got this you'd have to eternally be on a cocktail of meds and drugs due to you body constantly trying to reject this thing. Same way people with artificial hearts or pacemakers need to always be on drugs and be vigilant. Just not worth the hassle when I can just slip on a pair of glasses.
