CAG compiled a nice list of all the Black Friday ads that have begun leaking out. Didn't see a thread yet.

Tons of stuff, but I just pulled the more interesting hardware bundles.
That CC $199 Xbox 360 deal below is awesome (my launch 360 won't die).

Best Buy
Xbox 360 Pro 60GB Holiday Bundle with Tony Hawk Proving Ground & NBA 2k9 $299.99
Playstation 3 80GB w/ Ratchet & Clank & Casino Royale Blu-ray $399.99 (door buster)

Circuit City
Xbox 360 60 GB Pro Holiday Bundle + $30 Gift Card $299.99
Xbox 360 Arcade Holiday Bundle + 20GB HD & Wireless Controller $199.99

Dell
Xbox 360 Arcade Holiday Bundle w/Rock Band 2 Game - $199.00

Radio Shack
Xbox 360 Pro 60GB Hoilday Bundle + $50 pre-paid card via mail in rebate $299.99

Target
Xbox 360 60GB Pro Holiday Bundle with $60 Gift Card $299.99

Walmart
Xbox 360 Arcade Holiday Bundle w/free Guitar Hero III + Wireless Guitar $199

Check out that list (http://www.cheapassgamer.com/?f=524), and pull out anything else that seems really good. There's too much to sift through, heh.
wow, 360 is going to kill in nov NPD, the CC 360+20GB HD +extra wireless controller for $199 is the steal of the bunch. you could ebay the harddrive for $30, the extra controller for $40, the 5 XBLA games for $10, and the tennis game for $15,which means you pay $105 for a 360 with a wireless controller and a 256 mem card. sell the mem card for $10 bucks or more and you have a 360 for under a $100.

I'm really looking to upgrade my 360. I'm still (un)lucky enough to have my launch console. I recently had a display problem with it and I did get the red rings once before a while back. As such I haven't really kept up to date with the new 360s and what not. Would getting Holiday Arcade bundle be a good deal for me and just pop in my hdd? Are the new arcades exactly the same as the new pro bundles minus the hdd?

A 360 with no games, no harddrive, no wireless internet access, and only 1 controller.

Not that that's still not a bad deal, but you're gutting it just to shave the price further. Enjoy the harddrive, the XBox Live Arcade games, and two-player splitscreen and just be satisfied you got a great deal for $200.

yep, and if you did the CC deal you might even make money by selling your current system minus harddrive.

my computer is right next to my system, wireless does nothing for me but slow down downloads, and I have no friends. harddrive is very nice for DLC and XBLA games but not everyone cares about that stuff. you still can play fable, gears, fallout, dead space, saint's row, halo 3 or any other game(besides that soccer game and FFXI) just fine without a harddrive for about a $100 bucks, plus you get a dvd player that upconverts dvds to HD.

edit: WIN!

Sounds like it was a mistake, but if you can get a hold of the original ad, you may have an argument.

Was definitely a misprint. Sam's had it pulled and replaced. It's $425.

Will drop pants for Sony.
Dual Shock 3 for $30 at Radioshack

I might just bite. If target is selling the ps3 version of dead space for 30 i'll buy it.

I don't think I ever shopped on a Black Friday, what a mess. Camp outside of stores and watch them sell out of everything before you get it. Good luck.

I did Black friday last year, and I'm never doing it again. I got to the store at 10AM and felt like I was in a fucking moshpit at any place I walked. Luckily, even 6 hours after opening I still got the stuff I wanted (new HDTV, Gold Zelda DSLite) and I didn't have to stand in line at 3 AM, but I think on that day this year I'm just gonna stay home and avoid public places.

I've decided that if I can buy the stuff online because I won't be in the country, then I'll get Dead Space and Burnout Paradise for a total of 50 bucks. :D

Another thing to do for Black Friday sales is show up, find your stuff and then hide it on the shelf and come back later once the check out lines have died down from the initial rush.

Won't work for the early bird specials though.

Wow, that went from being one of the best Black Friday deals ever to one of the worst.

I don't want to start a whole thing here, but does anyone know a 40GB PS3 gets for trade-in? I'm really looking at the CC 360 deal, and I just don't feel like I need both.

How do you not know whether or not you have done something like that?

weird

This season seems pretty weak so far. There are one or two deals I'm looking at grabbing. Store 'door-busters' can be decent, but for the most part online sales have been way way way better than door-busters for several years now.

imo

You know I'm starting to think the same thing. Here I own a PS3 and Wii with games I've yet to beat on both consoles. Also a pretty big backlog of ps1/2 and a few gamecube games and now I want to buy a 360 too. My backlog will get way bigger because there are a few Xbox games I'd like to play.......................................Maybe I should hold back until I beat at least most of the games I got now.

Definitely. They're cheap as chips to produce.
And as fragile

I'm eyeballing the 360, but I wouldn't really use it for games. Maybe XBLA, but that'd be about it. I'm more curious about using it as a Media Center Extender. Anyone know of comparable prices on MCEs?

Any word on when Fry's is going to release their ad? That would likely be my only chance to get Left 4 Dead cheaper than Amazon, and I'm running out of time for the Amazon deal.

Damnit 360, youre getting so tempting.

I must keep reminding myself that 6 months after launch the GC cost 150$ and the Xbox cost 199$.

Must resist.

Man, my wife and I are looking for a 40 gig PS3 to purchase for her parents (Games for dad, Blu Ray for mom). Does anybody know if any of the major retailers still carry the 40 gig?
