BlizzCon 2007

Between this and Team Fortress 2 I'm getting really annoyed of developers unwilling to rewrite the formula. It's a struggle to see the changes in those tech trees.

Oh and the WoW news is mehtastic. Nobody wants to be forced to make a new character to get a special class.

Depends on if they had any gameplay footage ready. If you're talking about D3, there's still a chance it at least gets mentioned tomorrow.

Does that Star Base have guns on it? Kind of looks like it does from the photo. It would be sweet bringing one of those into battle.

What?

You think more people would prefer to lose their old character to make a new class?:P

Wow, SC2 is gorgeous, and the new expansion site is AMAZING.

In fact, SC2 may be one of it not the most beautiful RTS I have ever seen.

Do I think most people would rather have hero classes be another form of customizing their own character? Umm... yes. Having it be a glorified alt makes no sense at all.

That's how I figured they'd do it. Why have to roll a new alt? Doesn't make any sense. I can even agree with changing your class and dropping you down to 60, but you start at level 80 power and work your way up. In essence you'd become an Elite. Much more powerful than regular classes. Then put some things in to make sure that those characters can't group or something. The only real issue would be World PvP, but arenas and such would be tuned correctly. That would make it much more interesting...at least in my opinion.

after reading the faq i think you have to be a paladin to become a death knight and it would limit the amount of deathknights so not everyone will have it unless the level a paladin 80 levels to do the dk quest

Agreed, SC2 looks absolutely fantastic. What Blizzard lacks in cutting edge tech they make up in art direction and design.

More SC goodness.

I simply just dont have time or patience anymore to get characters to the levels required to play this new stuff so I wont bother.

Blizzard need to open the game up to the casual player again somehow, if thats by pre-made high level characters then so be it.

Yup...in fact it actually sounded like he was saying they can't even equip shields. That'll be pretty cool and would satisfy all the damn MS warriors I know, lol.

It would certainly satisfy this retired MS warrior, that's for certain.

I can just hear it now, nerf, nerf, nerf!

The concept stuff they've shown for Northrend looks so ****ing badass. :D My favorite part of the game has always been seeing areas for the first time!

I love how the class panel is basically just them laughing at all the complaints.

Wha? Sounds like they are acknowledging most of the big problems people have and doing what they can to fix them. What are they laughing away, exactly?
