place where gigantic beings shoot lasers right before chapel checkpoint. There's a hidden bell ringer in an obscure location that I found and kill so I stopped getting swarmed by enemies since they don't spawn if she's dead.
It's worth it even if you don't deem it effective during combat. I use the Chikage to boost style points. For instance, the Chikage is best for achieving the SSStylish class during the battle with a Chalice boss.
Okay seriously though - if the Chikage's movesets are useful to you, then it's worth it.
I know right? It's my favorite set in the entire game and with the way they've modeled clothing/fur physics it looks absolutely marvelous.
EDIT: I don't care what anyone says, Bloodborne is an incredible looking game. It is such a technical leap over it's predecessors which ironically I didn't even think DS1 looked that bad
I'd told the guy in Forbidden Woods about it, I thought he was a bit dodgy when I found him, but I had a load of blood echoes on me so didn't exactly want to attack him. When I'd gone back to the church after I'd killed the boss, one of the NPCs was dead. Fortunately it was only the lady who barely said anything, and if anything hated me. Hate to think what would have happened if I'd not have come back when I did!
Hey buddy, what level are you? People can only join your game within a certain level range, I'm sure my character is way too high otherwise I'd hop in.
If you just set your region to Worldwide and don't enter a password you should get someone to join your game with the Beckoning bell eventually. I never had any luck using the BB-Gaf password when trying to help people co-op earlier on, and this thread moves so fast it's kinda hard to "LFG."
I mean, I understand if the huge damage is caused by his trick weapon, but for even the gun to cause such a ridiculous damage, that is just bullshit. Even Gascoigne and Djura doesn't have such a huge spike of damage on their offhand gun.
Ridiculousness.
Anyway, want to ask you guys for some advice: I am at 20/21/20/10/9/8 for Vitality/Endurance/Strength/Skill/Bloodtinge/Arcane. Do you folks think I should start focusing on Skill or should I invest still in Vitality/Endurance/Strength? 95% of the time so far I use an Axe with occasional Kirkhammer, but I heard some good stuff about Ludwig's Holy Blade...?
Need to beat BsB first though... spent a couple hours last night farming the Giant dudes to upgrade my Flamethrower....
earlier. Somebody in this thread earlier mentioned that you should quickly move left/right/left/right as youre sprinting to avoid the ice missiles and this worked a good 80% of the time for me. Thank you to that guy.
Sssssooo. The lady at the clinic isn't talking to me anymore... I just kilt the spider boss and I didn't send all the people to her soo can I just kill her now or should I wait til like right at the end ??.
Finally got a chance to help some hunters out using the bell. I stood out side
The Shadows of Yarnham boss for a while and took them down 4 out of 6 times, both times the host died on me a little too quickly. It was a lot of fun though, bringing more than one person into that fight really simplifies the fight though
Finally got some playtime in, beat that Cleric Boss first try, what a pushover. I remember him being much harder in the Alpha. Dat Souls feeling, I'm gonna enjoy this game so much.

Oh gosh. That was terrifying. But I got through it. I'm not even sure if it was optional. But it must be. So, so weird and scary. Def saved it for the "first play through highlight reel" I'm going to make for my own amusement.
Must be something to "get frustrated enough to post about it, solve it immediately thereafter" cuz that's what happened.
Oh and my main weapon became "at risk" during this, adding extra tension. Lovely!
man, she gave me fits. 3 or 4 times I had her down to a sliver doing just that, circle strafing her. then when i had her down to almost nothing she'd go bonkers and 2 hits BOOM I'm dead.
this last time I was ready for it and backed off enough and finished her with a handful of shots from my repeating pistol. wasn't going to let her get close
beat it
what an amazing experience, everything in this game is incredible
world design
level design
enemy design
sound design
combat system
easily one of the best game ever made, god tier stuff
goty 2015, no contest, and without a doubt the game of this gen, no matter what platform
damn i beat the game about 2 hours ago, and since than i've listened this in loop https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uZWpYGuqsHI
i've a new king
yes i'm looking forward to a dark souls 3, but after bloodborne there is no come back
your turn sony, give miyazaki everything he wants, and let him direct a new episode of this masterpiece
oh, and please, PLEASE, release a dlc for this. i need it in my life
PLEASE
a little question, there is a locked door near the cathedral ( that one close to a chest and simply say "closed" ), i'm pretty sure that i've explored and discovered every path of yhanarm, but never managed to open that door. did i miss something?
Not sure if anyone else has mentioned or noticed this but I've had some odd co-op shenanigans going on in NG+. Finally beat Clerical beast in a pretty epic battle, that I swear played out totally differently in the 2nd half. Not sure if thats NG+ or because we injured him differently but the 2nd half of the fight was pretty crazy.
Anyway exchanged a few messages with the guy that helped and turns out he's only in NG and hasn't beaten the game yet! But he was summoned into NG+! Now I'm helping with CB and we just absolutely murdered him, I mean drained his HPs like nothing. I've done a few other co-ops there and he hasnt gone down that quick. For helping him I seemed to get about 2000 echoes which is NG like numbers.
So adding 2 plus 2, with how quick he went down and how many echoes I got and the 1st summoning issue I'm pretty sure I was summoned into NG.
Is this a known issue or anyone had anything similar? Can't imagine its intentional

I have used a tonitrus and I am now a believer, my +6 tonitrus outclasses my +6 Ludwig holy blade using L1 by like 150 dmg, it's not even funny....
It's current nonbuffed dmg is at 240, pressing l1 jumps it to 403....
It usually takes me like 2 minutes I believe. And near the lamp I mean in the region... I just slay some monsters that are in the nearest regions and then someone shows up, usually near the lamp too.
I'm really struggling with them at the moment. I'm gradually starting to improve but getting back to them every time is so tedious. Even with shortcuts. Other bosses haven't bothered me because you generally have more time to size them up, but here if I get caught it's over super quick
Soft cap=diminishing return. After 25 points, each point give you less per stats than before. So if a weapon is scaled with B/B STR/SKL but you have 25 in STR, it is more effective to put them into SKL.
Hard cap=You are done, stop fucking putting more stats in it. END is capped at 40, rest are at 50.
Stay near it's right arm and everytime it attacks, dodge towards it's back and smack it a couple times. Once the poison cloud appears, just stay away for a while and the poison effect will go away.
Any time you need to heal, just run and get behind the altar.
Kirkhammer is pretty good agains it, as it stagers the beast rather easily.
The point at which allocating stats somewhere hits diminishing returns. I don't think there is a hard cap but it seems like you get the most out of the first 25 points allocated.
I just remembered- I parried an enemy so well he stopped existing. I was on a staircase against a werewolf in a chalice dungeon, and I parried him, and the knockback knocked him horizontally, but he didnt fall down the stairs vertically, so he went through the ceiling, getting stuck just chilling up there.
So yeah guys, endgame, let it be known I got so good I could parry things out of existence :3
