someone told me that when these programs are broadcast in the USA they replace david attenborough for the VO work. Someone tell me this isn't true.

Sigourney Weaver did the first Planet Earth that was broadcast on Discovery Channel as a big event, I believe Oprah Winfrey also did another BBC series that was originally narrated by Attenborough.

May save the full viewing for the UHD Blu disc. Planet Earth II is incredible looking, but I took some of the shine away by first watching it on regular BR, as I wasn't sure when I was going to get a 4k TV and UHD player, but now I have both.

Pardon the bump but if anyone wanted any more confirmation, the 29th of October is indeed when the first ep. will air in the UK set to be shown at 8 PM on BBC 1
