Relive Boardwalk Empire Seasons 1 & 2 Monday through Friday from 7/9 - 8/9 at 10PM ET.
Agreed. Nucky as portrayed by Buscemi is so non-threatening at first (They even played to that in the first episode) that it adds to the character that he's actually a pretty scary guy that walks a line between brutality and finesse.Alec Baldwin would probably be closer to the real life inspiration for the character (Nucky Johnson), but I definitely prefer what we got instead.

S3 start date is set.
Those were the only two shows on the press release.Awesome! No date for Enlightened though?

Girls is reportedly coming back in January. Maybe they'll pair them together, hopefully resulting in a (slightly) bigger audience for Enlightened.

So. Fucking. Hyped.- Boardwalk Empire Season 3: Clip Trailer *spoilers*
Please spoiler tag as necessary. (I haven't watched yet). Thanks.
So. Fucking. Hyped.
I regret watching that. Kinda.I guess we can see where Jimmy's screen time is going now: Gyp Rosetti.
Genuinely surprised at the lack of love that Boardwalk gets compared to shows like Mad Men, Breaking Bad, etc. Is it because it's only two seasons in? Do more people have AMC than HBO? Or is the show just less accessible? Could be a mix, I guess.

Guess I'll have to resubscribe to HBO fairly soon. Since I'm a cheap ass I wait until the final week of episodes air and catch up on everything via HBO Go.
Yeah, more people have AMC. Netflix plays a role as well I think. Every season of Mad Men and Breaking Bad is up on Netflix streaming in HD. I know a lot of people that got into them through that (that's actually where I first got into Mad Men).So. Fucking. Hyped.

So I was in Half Price Books in Dallas, TX and they had the second season out already. Labeled release of 8/14/12. 40 bucks for the Blu/DVD/DC version, which is less than amazon currently, although on season 1 Amazon cut the price to 35 just before release. No DVDs in that version though, so don't know if they will go that low again.
Amazon did the same with Game of Thrones, hoping they do it again with Boardwalk Empire. Although I'll probably get it either way, it's too good of a season to pass up.
It’s gritty, it’s salacious, it’s violent – in other words, it’s everything you want a crime drama on HBO to be, only it’s set in the 1920s. Season Two of Boardwalk Empire on Blu-ray continues to entertain just as much, or more, than the first.
4.5/5.0 stars
