I've seen my order like that for a while. The only thing that changed for me was it switched between "Pre-Ordered" and "Not yet shipped" back and forth a couple times this week.

Would the demo streetpasses work for the full version of the game? I've had my 3DS sitting on standby for almost a month straight unlocking the town upgrades with a single villager and being able to cut that in half with another 3DS would be fantastic.

It's basically a copy-paste job with a possible memory card format change. Nintendo has some simple instructions on their website.

Move your game files to a pc, format the new sd card to your 3ds, then move the pc files there.
