Brazilian Government will start buying PS5 consoles for Police Officers as part of a QoL program

The Public Security Secretariat of the State of Amazonas (Amazon) will hold a tender on November 7th for the acquisition of furniture and equipment to reinforce the creation of a Quality of Life at Work Program. The list of items includes the purchase of 18 units of PlayStation 5. The console is not mentioned by name, but a video game whose specifications are the same as the Sony console is mentioned.

According to the Amazon government, the initiative “aims to promote initiatives aimed at improving the respective work environments, health and improving the quality of the work environments of the agency's employees”

To complement the experience of using the PS5, the list also includes contracting a subscription plan that includes downloading games for a period of five years, a clear reference to PS Plus.

The bidding will be in auction mode, which aims to obtain the most advantageous proposal in terms of price. The resources for purchasing the items were allocated by the National Public Security Fund to the State Public Security Fund.

Sounds like they are going in the break rooms to collect dust. I wonder if they have pool tables already?

This will surely mitigate being underfunded, having to deal with the worst kinds of crimes every day and, if that's not bad enough, being forced to protect Series S units in stores because they're more worth than cocain.
