Ted is scared shitless. From his perspective Skylar sicked two of Walt's gambling goons on him. Ice cold the way she ran with it.. "good"

Oh totally. The way she responded to his schpeal was so great. Ted is afraid of Skyler and what she is capable of, and she uses that fear magnificently in that line.

Also, Dennys hasn't changed logos since forever and the cars aren't Representative of anything.

Yeah, if you remember in the first episode, it's his 50th birthday. Skyler makes veggie bacon, and makes a five and zero out of it.

It's obvious that Walt, lonely after he is on the run from Madrigal and the DEA, misses his family, and makes his own 52 in remembrance of when things weren't shit.

But this seems so obvious, and Gilligan isn't known for making obvious the outcome is he? He seems so much smarter than that. (not to belittle you, i just feel like gilligan is too smart for us to already have any idea of what we're decoding.)

Preview is on soon, we're on the first break of this bad show.

But what about the foreshadowing in the beginning?

QUESTIONS:

- The 52 was for his birthday right?

What else do we have from the first scene?

New Hampshire DL and car (or at least license plate). He's 30 hours away from NH if you only stop for gas. His ID says, it was a little hard to make out, but I think "Nadler".

And that's how you get the greatest Breaking Bad episode of all time.

Unpopular opinion alert. I thought that was a dumb episode.

Why?

The show always took alternative ways to solve problems, mostly involving science. Walt always taught us new stuff.

I thought the magnets thing was pretty cool.

Yeah. Magnets like that exist. It was a 100% feasible solution AND, in classic Breaking Bad fashion, it caused even more problems than it solved.

Umm, wow. This was riveting, and fully evolved/ego-maniac Walt was thrilling to watch. The magnet stuff was awesome and funny in classic BB fashion.

Edit: WTF Ben.

It confirms he will make it to the last episode. Not that he will survive. To me it says he is ready to make a last stand of some kind... but if he's using a gun like that, to me it's against Jesse. I don't think he'd try that type of thing against the police, there'd be no point. Unless some new as yet unknown competitor appears for Walt, and he has to defend his turf or something. But that would be lame.

Hank maybe?

OMG DAT PREVIEW HNNNNNNNG.

Ricin, a 3 way partnership with mike, and talking about selling again in Saul's office? FUCK WHY CANT IT BE NEXT WEEK ALREADY?

but wasn't that guy that sold him the gun the same guy he bought the gun from in season 4 (when he was going to shoot gus)?

Yep.

Yea the waitress says it when he leaves

Holy shit Germans confirmed

QuestIon - how do we know Walt is 51?

EDIT: And how does everyone know that's the last episode being shown in the cold open?

how close does a magnet need to be to a laptop to destroy it? i wonder if the HDD was wiped

I am pretty sure this thing wouldn't work in real life. The distance alone would have killed it, even with a magnet that large.

Maybe the Germans?

I think it will be for a group of people since that gun screams spray and pray.

That's true. Maybe Jesse and Mike team up against Walt in the end? Maybe they enlist the Madrigal guys to help?

He's 50 right now. In a few eps there is an episode called "Fifty One."

Anything in this episode more ridiculous than Gus poisoning himself to kill another person? No.

...?

Gus took a pill beforehand to counteract the poison, and he had a team of skilled doctors nearby for exactly that situation. He also went to the bathroom during the party to try to vomit up as much of the poison as possible. It was a calculated gamble but he counted on Don Eladio's arrogance, which ultimately paid off.

Anyone else think that this show is going to end the way of
Scarface?
That's a pretty huge M60 and to me that spells
last stand at Tony Montana's mansion.

52 is a fake age, for the fake ID from NH... for the fake birthday breakfast.... It's an alias, and he wanted to make that alias memorable, hence the massive tip, and birthday meal and willingness to flash his fake ID around.

There's no answer to the question "Why?" just yet, but it was all intentional.

Any links to next week's preview trailer?

Edit: Yes the magnet was typical tv shit that usually doesn't fly in breaking bad, but it wasn't too bad.

Ya'll bitches complaining about the feasibility of a giant magnet wiping out a harddrive after seeing a zombie Gus adjust his tie?

You are overestimating Walts cunningness. You saw how he 'reacted' when the gun dealer showed up to the dennys.

Also I just want to point out now that I was one of the first to predict Walt's cancer coming back and that possibly being what kills him, or what gives him the reason to do something fucking crazy with an M60 because he figures he is going to die anyway.
