I can't wait to find out why Walt needs that M60.

I note that the Mexican cartels were so loath to kill Gus that he frightened off a sniper just by gesturing at him, for some reason having to do with whatever his secret history was in Chile. I'm looking forward to finding out more about the Generalissimo...

I still have to understand how important (in terms of rank) Scarface's Manny was.

Can't wait!

Looks like the doctors office...is Walt's pure soul finally going to be tainted by cancer?

Remember when Marie tells Skylar 'it's been a year since he was diagnosed...' and all the talk about his upcoming birthday?

If that's really the doctor's office I'd say he's in for a check-up more than anything else.

I bet skysky made him go against his will and that's why he's sulking.

Man now that I know the White residence scenes were moved to a set shoot I can't unsee the constant blinds over windows and shots avoiding the glass doors to the pool. The show is ruined I tell you!!

What?

You just ruined the show for me! But for real, I thought that only applied for Jesse's house.

I guess in the last season-ish (?) or so they switched the White house to mostly on-set filming. I don't know why probably something lame about not wanting to inconvenience the people that live there or something.

I can't believe that after tomorrow night the season will be half over. It seems like its going by fast. This is the first season that I'm watching the episodes as they happen and I thought the week wait would be worse.

Is there anyone here that dislikes Mike? He's so badass.. the awesome type of badass. He, Jesse, and Saul seem to be the only characters my friends have no problem with.

I personally have no one on the show I dislike.

Just wondering, does anyone think Walt will live? Honestly, how fucked up would it be if they either kill off or make Walt lose everyone close to him. I think the assumed ending is he dies/gets caught. Just thinking of something maybe unexpected.

I was pretty convinced before the cold open that the show would end with Walt being the unquestioned drug kingpin in the Southwest. Now I'm not as sure. I definitely don't think he'll die though. I just don't really see how they could make that a satisfying ending, unless Jesse pulls the trigger maybe.

I thought it would've ended with him having lost everything (every major character dead or similar) poor and alone, dying of cancer.
After the cold opening, i don't know.

My guess for the ending is that Walt kills Jessie, his family leaves him for good, and just when he feels like dying he finds out that the cancer is gone for good. In other words, he loses everything he's worked for, and all that's left is his drug trade.

Apparently, the reason that Walt needs the M60 is already out there, in a vague sense, from Cranston in Rolling Stone (endgame scenario spoilers):

Cranston said in his interview that he asked Vince about some stuff that wasn't in the script, and he was told that he needed the M60 because he was returning to ABQ in order to "defend someone."

But it's good to be king.

I think Gilligan explicitly said Walt's punishment would match his hubris; even if he survives, I don't think he'll even get to be king anymore.

Cancer is back, some of his family is dead, everyone knows that he was a drug dealer but the show ends with him on the run surviving with some months to live

I think differently. I think Walt will lose his family, his cancer will come back and Jesse will find out he's being manipulated. But he will have one redemptive moment and that is somehow saving Jesse's life. Sacrificing himself for Jesse somehow...

I may be saying that because if Jesse dies I'll be a complete wreck.

Yeah, I agree. I've been saying for a long time now that Walt will die saving Jesse.

I'm sure it's been mentioned but I'm guessing "the cleaner" Saul recommended to Walt last season will make a return? How else would he have a new ID/name?

With all the nods to Scarface, I hope they get Al Pacino to play the cleaner.

He's not doing much work these days, is he?

I think it's too late for Walt to save Jesse.

Season 1: Goes without prompting to stand up for Jesse after he gets beaten by Tuco.
Season 2: Goes back to Jesse's house out of family feeling, but causes his girlfriend's death.
Season 3: Kills some people for Jesse, but requires Jesse to kill some people in return.
Season 4: Spends the whole season trying to get Jesse to kill people, eventually using trickery and poison to do it.

The days where he would sacrifice himself for Jesse are long past.

Dislike is such a nebulous word. If you mean, like, who on the show would I actually want to spend time with, then it's just Andrea. And maybe Walter Jr., sometimes. Everybody else is just too obnoxious in their own way.

But if you mean who am I sympathetic towards, then the only characters I dislike in that sense are Walter White and Saul Goodman, both of whom, I think, have mostly made their own beds by this point. Everybody else is doing the best they can with a situation they don't really choose.
