California authorities have responded to a report of a shooting in a San Bernardino school classroom, officials said.

Two students at Northpark Elementary School were transported to a hospital after the shooting, police chief Jarrod Burguan tweeted.

The police chief said the incident appears to be a murder-suicide.

Preliminary information shows four victims are being treated, and the suspect is possibly down.

San Bernardino City Unified School District will release a statement shortly.

High profile ones have certainly gone down, but they're still happening all the time. Usually not at elementary schools though, mostly college campuses, and even then, deaths are rare.
