You know, I abandoned Pokémon long, long ago (I only played the first two gens), but these figurines of the Gym Leaders based on their in-game sprites look great.
I have a very nostalgic spot for the Gym Leaders of Gen 1. Back in the day those guys were like the ultimate rivals to me, like real badasses. They have the honor of being the very first of their kind, in the very first game of a now HUGE franchise.

Although I always thought Ruby had spiked white hair up until the remakes were announced. Now I wish it was white hair, that beanie thing is hideous. Like he's wearing a condom for a hat.

In my headcanon he used to have spiky white hair (original R/S/E), until he was forced to cut and dye it by a society that does not understand him. Now he only wears that hideous beanie in memory of the glorious spiky white locks that were sacrificed on the altar of conformity.

I held it like that too, although I realized I was doing it wrong. For some reason, I just didn't have proper balance holding the stick with the correct position.

Definitely. I don't see the problem either, using the stick, hold in the middle, using the d-pad hold the left side like a "regular" controller.
