Bruce Springsteen vs. Neil Young

For 4 years I worked at the Mom + Pop video store that Bruce Springsteen was a member of.

He rented some pretty fucking terrible movies and was a totally awesome guy every time he came in.

Bruce gets my vote 100% of the time.

Reminds me of a guy at a forum I used to be a member at back in the day. He'd bump into Nick Cave at the local video store all the time, where Cave would be renting videos for his kids :lol

Neil Young is at least listenable for the most part and has some good songs. Along with a bunch of bad ones even in his better albums (Harvest, Everybody Knows...). I've listened to about 8 of his albums and was never able to become a big fan. Ragged Glory is indeed a fine album, though.

Springsteen is really boring. He probably only truly makes sense if you were born in the USA, like his song goes. I don't think he has worldwide appeal. The only song of his that is known where I live is Streets of Philadelphia, because it was on a soundtrack. All those other verbose, melody-less songs that he does are yawn-inducing (this decribes the whole Born to Run album). The dude does have a good voice, though.

Bob Dylan trumps both by far.

You gotta be shitting me. Are you aware how popular he is in Europe, especially here in Scandinavia?
