Nearing the end of S1 of Angel. It's a bit slow, but I get the impression it's a season of setting up.
It was definitely a bit slow setting up, but overall I really liked Season 1. I'm nearly done with Season 2 myself and the show is really good.

Ugh. I'm a few episodes into Buffy season 4 and it's gone down hill rather quickly...
The fourth season of Buffy is horrible. If you're only a few episodes in, then you probably haven't reached "Beer Bad," which is the worst Buffy episode in existence.
Endure that season and prepare yourself for one of the best seasons of television history.
And prepare for what I'd consider one of the best episodes of TV ever (or at least way up there).Endure that season and prepare yourself for one of the best seasons of television history.

I'm sure most who have seen season 5 will know what episode I'm on about.
Won't have to wait until Season 5 for one of the best episodes of TV everHush

As much as I likeI thinkHushis just so much more potent of an episode, to this day I don't think I've seen an episode of TV that captures something like this so well (this is easily my top Buffy episode). The Body
This is the great thing about Buffy/Angel, when its bad its still good (watchable), when its good its still great and when its great then GOD DAM! its some of the best TV ever. Take a terrible episode for the most part in Season 7, not a great episode at all IMO, but one scene makes it all worth while and makes it great ("Beneath You").The church scene - what I consider James Marsters best moment
Actually, Angel's budget was cut pretty dramatically for the last season. They just worked around it well,Aaand now I have to rewatch Buffy.... AGAIN.
I was a fan from the beginning and stuck with it 'till the end. Loved James Marsters. Was not as fond of the Angel series, but watched it. I think it got better as time went on (bigger budget maybe?), whereas Buffy got weird. Loved it anyway.

My vote for worst episode is when.Buffy kept having sex with Riley at a party
Overall S4 has its moments, but feels lame when realize it's sandwiched between S3 and S5.

oh brother, people are labeling S4 as terrible? flop taste confirmed
Season 4 has some of the series' top episodes and *easily* the best character interaction.
The overall arc suffers and Riley is Riley, but it's an amazing season of television.
Willow is randomly gay now? I'm so confused...
Angel is such a better show than Buffy. I mean one does have to suffer the whole thing with Angel's, but i feel the characters are better written - to the point that freaking Cordelia is probably one of my favorite characters in the universe - and the show doesn't have quite as much camp as Buffy.son
Completely agree.Buffy's response to Faithkilling that guy always seemed a little overblown to me. Yeah, he was human...but the demons she fights are sometimes basically just human too. They've shown demons that are "normal" and aren't evil, so they're really not that different from people other than appearance. It just seemed odd that she built up this massive separation in her mind about killing.
Been watching angel for the first time. Currently in season 4. Just read about, fuck.Wes' death
I agreed. It sucks because he's my favorite. I'll be sad to see it when it happens.it was so sad
Angel is obviously better, much better cast
