It was a double edged sword. I would say it was catering more to the no-lifers/streamer crowd more than they should. But that group also gave them more exposure. But that is what I was trying to say earlier, they chased their own assess around and round. I think everyone got a little bit of what they wanted.
But chasing the dreams of the fanbase / streamers/ etc is what got them where they did. Bungie didn't kill Destiny 2 completely, the fanbase had a large part in it. Destiny 2 in its Final Shape
was crafted in some part by everyone. Not just Bungie, we all fucked it up. No one knew what they wanted, there was no grand design, too many hands in the pot.
