yall mf's must have stockholm syndrome or something
seriously did you forget you already got 3 modern warfare games? I fucking swear one day soon yall gonna say they should go back to their ww2 roots...oh wait
but seriously yall need to stop this shit right now, they have tricked you into thinking that you're getting a way better project when the other studio takes over when really you're still getting the same game
I think it's the jet back boosting and zipping all over the place people don't like. Boots to the ground is what a lot of people want, modern or not.
Call me crazy but I would be fine if they just sold most of that content as an expansion to MWR.
Campaign
Spec-Ops
all Maps
Weapons that make sense in balance(F2000, Scar, ACR, FAMAS, etc).
Perks that can be balanced in(Bling, Hardline)

It would make sense. Maybe we'll see the three year release cycle be "old war, modern war, future war" now? So each studio has their own aesthetic and brand?
Weren't black ops 1-2 essentially already "modern warfare"
That would be really interesting actually.It would make sense. Maybe we'll see the three year release cycle be "old war, modern war, future war" now? So each studio has their own aesthetic and brand?
Nope
In terms of business, that doesn't make sense at all. I have a strong belief that we will see Modern Warfare 4 is 2019.
What would you think is the 2018 title? It could be the next title. Games need several years to be developed.
Why don't Call of duty games just pull a sort of Assassin's Creed move and have modern soldiers time travel and fight in different ancient fights against swords and horsemen. It could be a 4 person team get transported through a certain time period like ancient Rome or Egypt and those soldiers somehow get their hands on modern weapons, so now you're fighting in historic or fantastical locations for each game that would differentiate it from the next in the series.
- You shall not give players any unfair advantage over aspects they do not control. (i.e having one player host all the others)
- You shall always spawn near your team location, and not ever behind the enemy team.
- Your performance is the direct result of your own accomplishments.

How'd you come to get that tag? Lolyall mf's must have stockholm syndrome or something

Yes. This is what I want and treyarch are my favorite studio.
every cod and cod beta gets hate I said it in the beta thread if cod4 came out today as it was in 07 with a different name people would still say it sucks and think its worse then older gamesI would definitely like to be brought back to the modern era in CoD.
Unrelated kinda, but I've noticed a lot of hate for the WWII beta... I haven't had that much fun in a CoD game since Black Ops 1, and it was just the Beta. It definitely made me consider getting the game at release. So yeah, kinda surprised at the hate lol

Call Of Duty: White Ops
You heard it here first.
Still mad to me that treyarch are the best cod devs and who people are excited for.
Still remember those "ah shit....its a treyarch game...pass" comments 10 years ago

Infinity Ward fell apart with MW3 so its easy to see the shift.
COD3 = meh
W@W = great/amazing
BO1 = great
BO2 = amazing
BO3 = horrendous campaign, amazing mp
COD1 = amazing
COD2 = amazing
COD4 = incredible
MW2 = amazing
MW3 = meh
Ghosts = bad/meh/decent
IW = worst mp in the franchise, incredible campaign
AW = meh campaign, bad mp
W@W and BO1 got burned because they weren't COD4 and MW2. However MW3 made people reevaluate BO1 and Treyarch has seemingly been the favorite since.
I just don't get this.
Infinity Ward themselves stopped making Call of Duty a prestigious shooter with Modern Warfare 2. Even with the Huey killstreak, Black Ops 1 had a fairer and more polished multiplayer experience. Though, in hindsight, that seemed more to do with the limitations of the time period because when they went near future, they used the Infinity Ward play book of throwing everything, including the kitchen sink and they never stopped since.Still mad to me that treyarch are the best cod devs and who people are excited for.

Black Ops 2 happened. It's definitely the last COD that is thoroughly praised and revered today by the majority of people.Still mad to me that treyarch are the best cod devs and who people are excited for.

Ha, it seems hypocritical because it is such a copy paste howeverI just don't get this.
Well I've certainly seen a whole lot less of the COD YouTube community playing the game, and by less I mean almost zero.
The game just felt like a poor mans rip off of Black Ops 3, yet managed to do things very wrong. Really not enjoyable at all.
Though it's still possibly better than Ghosts.
Ha, it seems hypocritical because it is such a copy paste however
1. Infinite Warfare's multiplayer has absolutely no character/personality
2. specialist ability is just kinda bleh compared to BO3, only ability I thought was stupid in BO3 is "Glitch".
3. launch maps at least really don't feel designed around the movement some make it feel completely out of place even.
BO3 had stinkers but 2 of those are extremely popular for whatever reason whenever they come back(NukeTown, Highjacked)
Im not even saying I prefer BO3's style MP versus others(besides IW and AW)
For Call of Duty I still prefer a solid COD4 style experience but I give BO3 a lot of credit because that was a solid different experience to typical COD that was well done.
Honestly might just be that I really don't like the futuristic movement stuff however BO3 did it so well it feels like a strong game in my mind (if not a COD)Even with these complaints (some of which I find debatable or hard to understand, but it's too early in the morning for me to want to get into all that) I don't really understand the gulf you've placed between the quality of Black Ops 3 and that of Infinite Warfare.

AW and IW are both on my bottom but I felt AW a bit better with those maps, customization stuff was a bit fun and it wasn't a mess of weapon prototypes.
I just want an entire game that takes place in abandoned eastern Europe. All ghillied up was fucking ace.
It hasn't though.I don't know about the rest of you, but I don't know if there's any kind of COD that could redeem the series for me. It's been over a decade of the same type of gameplay, year in year out, that I think it's just gotten stale.

You can't say COD has had the same gameplay for a decade when we've had three iterations where you're jumping around like a maniac and this year we're diverting from it.
COD is always to be a fast paced shooter, but the gameplay has certainly changed up and down since COD4 (which plays nothing like its predecessors).
That's what WW2 is specifically going for. It's standard, boots on the ground gameplay after three straight games that weren't that.I probably should have qualified that with for me. I tried the most recent beta for the WW2 COD and just couldnt shake the feeling of been there, done that. Every new iteration just feels like more of the same with a fresh coat of paint on it.
They're just so similar. I find it strange to consider one to be great, amazing even, and then the other to be the worst multiplayer in the franchise.
And I've heard people complain, but I very rarely see people who can actually articulate what it is they don't like about it outside of very general, vague terms, like yours above. Maybe mention some half-baked thought about not liking variants, or the maps, or the graphics.
I dunno, I just still feel a little crazy, having enjoyed both Black Ops 3 and Infinite Warfare, to see so many people heap praise on the one and spit venom on the other. Like, I get there are differences. Boosting is deliberately slowed down, movement isn't exactly the same, presentation isn't quite up to snuff. But even the worst stuff like bad spawns never struck me as enough reason to completely condemn the game.
I think a lot of it has to do with being the wrong game at the wrong time, and the early negative perception it got stuck with and still hasn't managed to shake when it comes to the general game-interested public.
Even with these complaints (some of which I find debatable or hard to understand, but it's too early in the morning for me to want to get into all that) I don't really understand the gulf you've placed between the quality of Black Ops 3 and that of Infinite Warfare.
